B$Z: Toyota Returns as the Official Holeshot Sponsor of the 2015 Monster Energy Cup
Feld Motor Sports® announced today that Toyota will return as the official holeshot sponsor of the 2015 Monster Energy Cup at Las Vegas' Sam Boyd Stadium on October 17.
At the 2013 and 2014 Monster Energy Cup, Toyota pledged a new Toyota truck to the first rider to capture all three Main Event holeshots. Toyota will again offer a brand new 2015 Toyota Tundra to the rider who can race to the holeshot first in all three Main Events this year. No rider has yet to accomplish this feat in the history of the Monster Energy Cup; Trey Canard came close last year, capturing the holeshot in the first two Main Events.
"The symbiotic relationship that Toyota enjoys with the Monster Energy Cup is a valuable and meaningful one," says Steve Appelbaum, National Manager of Engagement Marketing, Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A., Inc. "Partnering with the leaders in motorsports to give some of the top athletes in their sport the opportunity to drive away with our newly-redesigned Tundra gives us a sense of great anticipation entering the competition."
In the past, Toyota has offered fans the most interactive experience in the pits, and the 2015 Monster Energy Cup will not be any different. Toyota sponsored BMX legend Jamie Bestwick will be hosting the BMX competition in the pits, featuring some of the top riders in the sport. Toyota is partnering with Monster Energy to host the BMX Best Trick competition; enticing riders to a chance at added purse winnings. Toyota's alliance with JGR (Joe Gibbs Racing) will be cheering on sponsored rider Justin Barcia; Barcia is seeking his second Monster Energy Cup victory.
The 2015 Monster Energy Cup features an all-new track design inspired by 5-time Monster Energy Supercross Champion Ricky Carmichael. The Carmichael-inspired track design will consist of supercross and motocross obstacles unlike any other racetrack design in the world. The Monster Energy Cup posts a $250,000 purse with the winner walking away with a $100,000 check, and any rider that wins all three Main Events will take home $1 million.
