B$Z: Confluence Outdoor Raises Funds for American Whitewater

November 12, 2015

Confluence Outdoor, the owner of eight unique watersports brands, today announced it raised $6,000 for American Whitewater, a national non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and restoration of America’s whitewater resources.

“American Whitewater’s mission and the important work they do all year is important to our community and environment.  Being able to raise funds for AW makes Gauley Fest even more special for us,” said Chris Loomis, event organizer for Confluence Outdoor. “Paddlers love the chance to support American Whitewater and we were thrilled one of them walked away with a one-of-a-kind Green Boat at the same time.”

Dagger brand generated a record-breaking $3,261 from raffling off the custom Green Boat built by lead designer Snowy Robertson. Adventure Technology, a premium paddle maker for whitewater, angling, and recreation kayaks, generated $240 via raffling off the optimal all-around performance Hercules Paddle for whitewater environments. Bomber Gear donated $2,500 from proceeds of online sales from July to September.

American Whitewater represents a broad diversity of individual whitewater enthusiasts, river conservationists and more than 100 local paddling club affiliates across America.
