Honda Powersports Division Named Official ATV, Side-by-Side and Scooter of NHRA

In the multi-year agreement, these vehicles will be used at 24 NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series national events and also at the five NHRA owned and operated drag racing facilities across the country. Honda Powersports Division is an industry leader in the production of ATVs, Scooters, and Side-by-Side vehicles including the durable Pioneer 1000.

“The NHRA is pleased to partner with the Honda Powersports Division and looks forward to a mutually beneficial relationship,” said Brad Gerber, NHRA vice president, chief development officer. “Honda Powersports Division is known for producing high quality scooters and ATVs and these vehicles will help our NHRA Safety Safari members and other NHRA track officials do their jobs each season. In turn, we are confident we can provide a tremendous opportunity for Honda Powersports through direct access to our loyal fan base and exposure on our wide variety of media assets.”

As an NHRA official sponsor, Honda Powersports Division will receive visibility at NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series events as well as coverage throughout NHRA’s various media platforms.  The company will be afforded presence in NHRA’s Manufacturers Midway to display and showcase a variety of the company’s line of scooters and ATV products.  The company also will be visible at each event via trackside signage, public address announcements and video commercials on the track big screen.

“We’re extremely pleased to have Honda officially associated with the thrilling sport of NHRA drag racing,” said Chuck Boderman, vice president, motorcycle division at American Honda. “The series has hosted incredible racing and great champions, and its spirit is consistent with the emphasis Honda places on competition. We look forward to seeing our vehicles in use at the NHRA’s national events.”

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. was established in 1959 and is the sole distributor of Honda motorcycles, scooters, ATVs and side-by-sides in the U.S. The American Honda Motorcycle Division is responsible for the sales, marketing, and operational activities for these products through authorized Honda dealers.
