Alpha Industries Re-Organizes Sales Force with New Additions

American heritage outerwear brand Alpha Industries announces changes and growth within its sales force. Director of North American Sales, Sean Whorton, has been promoted to Vice President of Domestic Sales. His contributions to the company have resulted in expansion of their wholesale business and, in partnership with East Coast showroom Nutty Rice, include the brand’s entry into luxury retailer Barney’s this season.

As part of his growth strategy for the brand, Whorton has expanded the sales force with recent hire Sarah Ochwat, Domestic Sales Manager. To handle regional sales, Alpha Industries has brought on Midwest sales agency, Industry Sales Inc. and West Coast agency Outset Collective. Additionally, the brand has signed on Forward Edge Marketing to handle military exchanges and tactical accounts.

“Alpha Industries is in a moment of high growth and these additions to the company have been pivotal in our continued success,” said Mike Cirker, Alpha Industries’ CEO. “Sean has brought a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the table and with these new partners in place we are confident we will continue to remain successful.”

Previous to joining Alpha Industries as Domestic Sales Manager, Sarah Ochwat worked at Apple as Sales Manager for Beats by Dr. Dre handling the fashion, sport and travel channels with additional experience as International Sales Specialist in the Americas for Beats by Dr. Dre. Ochwat will report to Whorton with a focus on continued growth domestically.

“I look forward to working with Sarah, Industry Sales, Outset Collective and Forward Edge to increase Alpha’s position in the industry,” commented Whorton. “We are excited for what we have coming down the pipeline and look forward to showing our retailers and consumers new styles and trends for seasons to come.”

Located in Burnsville, Minnesota and a showroom in Minneapolis, Industry Sales Inc. will work with Alpha Industries to increase its presence in the region with a focus on lifestyle driven accounts. Lead by Nick and Laura Karels with a stellar team of qualified sales representatives, Alpha Industries will be a complementary fit to the agency’s heritage and lifestyle brand client base that includes DC, Spy Optics, OBEY Clothing, Sanuk, etc.

Handling West Coast sales with a showroom in Downtown LA and LA Mart, the experienced team at Outset Collective is lead by Taylor Fisher, Jay Partow and Nick Girlando, who have worked in fashion and sales for over 10 years with a variety of leading apparel and accessory brands. They are excited to use their knowledge to open up new accounts and expand Alpha Industries’ retail development. Their viewpoint and involvement with brands such as Taikan, 40s and Shorties, V/SUAL and Adapt Technology, are a great fit to the brand’s fashion and lifestyle clientele.
