Corkcicle Announces World Famous Pro Surfer Bethany Hamilton As Unleashed Ambassador

Corkcicle proudly names iconic professional surfer Bethany Hamilton as the trend-setting beverage innovator’s first member of The Unleashed, its new Ambassador program. Known as one of the world’s most famous surfers, she recently reached the Semi-Finals at the prestigious World Surf League Competition in Fiji.

Welcoming her to The Unleashed, Corkcicle Co-Founder Stephen Bruner comments, “Bethany’s story is the stuff of legend. What she’s accomplished is truly inspiring, and she represents all of the qualities we associate with The Unleashed. She never gives up and pursues greatness in the face of obstacles most would consider unsurmountable. We’re excited to join forces!”

She shares that excitement. “Proper hydration is SO important for our health,” she says. “For me, having my Corkcicle Canteen with me all day keeps me aware of my water and liquid intake. That’s why I’m so thankful to be partnering with Corkcicle. Even when I travel, I take my Canteen along—it helps me cut down on plastic water bottles and allows me to stay hydrated wherever I go.”

The Unleashed is the latest evolution of Corkcicle. The program taps talent across the world who have demonstrated an undeniable resiliency. Nothing holds back a Corkcicle Ambassador. Not other peoples' opinion.  Not waiting for the perfect time.  Not fear.  Nothing. They are totally Unleashed to go after greatness and achieve things no one else ever has.

Renowned award-winning surfer Bethany Hamilton survived a harrowing shark attack and the loss of her arm at 13 to become one of sport’s most inspiring figures. Her 2004 best-selling autobiography, Soul Surfer: A True Story of Faith, Family, and Fighting to Get Back on the Board, became 2011’s acclaimed film Soul Surfer. Since beginning her career, she’s placed 1st in eight international surf competitions and Top 5 in a total of 15.
