Portland Design Works Joins The Bike Cooperative Supplier Network

November 17, 2016

Urban cycling gear manufacturer Portland Design Works (PDW) is the latest brand to join The Bike Cooperative’s growing network of supplier partners. Effective immediately, member retailers of The Bike Cooperative will earn rebates on direct and distributor purchases of all PDW products.

“PDW will be a supplier partner that our members can really get behind,” says Bill Heins, supplier relations manager of The Bike Cooperative. “They make simple, beautifully designed products, and with their recent announcement of a new Authorized Dealer Program to limit online third-party MAP violations it’s clear that PDW is an IBD-centric brand.”

To kick off the partnership, PDW is offering Bike Cooperative members a special introductory offer along with a free freight program. PDW co-founder and general manager Erik Olson added, “PDW is focused on building stronger relationships with our retailer partners, so joining the Bike Cooperative made a lot of sense for our brand. We are excited for the opportunity to develop partnerships with the Bike Co-op’s network of quality retailers.”

The Bike Cooperative is a member-owned cooperative with a mission of improving the profitability of independent bike retailers. The Bike Cooperative provides members with exclusive product specials and rebates, consumer financing and credit card processing programs, and comprehensive advertising services.
