Professional Snowboarder Danny Davis and Mountain Dew® Unveil the Most Progressive PEACE PARK to Date

Mountain Dew® has teamed up once again with professional snowboarder, 2014 Winter Olympian, and two-time X Games gold medalist Danny Davis and Snow Park Technologies (SPT) to create and release the newest installments of PEACE PARK on ABC and iTunes.

#PEACEPARK16 – A unique concept that began five years ago when Mountain Dew’s sponsored athlete Danny Davis envisioned an opportunity to enhance the creative and stylistic culture of snowboarding by evolving the traditional halfpipe build, expanding beyond its original competition-style layout to include fun, park-like features that are inspired by both skateboarding and surfing. Each year, Danny works with Mountain Dew and SPT to help design PEACE PARK, a course like no other in the world, inviting elite riders handpicked by Danny to showcase their unique styles on the mountain.

Built in the West Tetons of Wyoming at the Grand Targhee Resort and filmed over five days, this year’s PEACE PARK offers endless opportunities for 16 of the world’s best hand-picked snowboarders to have a damn good time riding a one-of-a-kind course as cinematographers, drones and photographers capture some of the most inspiring snowboarding content, highlighting what can be possible on a snowboard. Building on Danny’s love for music, close friend and roommate Chris Emmington of Easy Giant worked with Danny to score seven new songs that will be included in this year’s PEACE PARK soundtrack.

“PEACE PARK is a constant evolution built around snowboarding, music and friends, and designed to continue to instigate inspiration not only on the competitive side, but also with the sport overall,” said Danny. “I’m really stoked that Mountain Dew remains dedicated to supporting these passions of mine. Snowboarding is fun and inventive, and I want to continue to share that with the world through PEACE PARK each and every year.”

Sunday, November 27 at 2 p.m. ET / 1 p.m. PT

A 22-minute short film documentary around the build and action will air on television nationally on ABC’s World of X and will be available to view globally for free online via the Mountain Dew YouTube channel directly following.

Additionally, iTunes will offer an alternative 40-minute full action edit available for purchase on Tuesday, November 29.
