National Credit Manager

Over 20 years in Business 2 Business Credit & Collection Management Career Path Professional Accounts Receivable Manager offering a solid and diverse business background in credit management, receivables and collections. Experience in dealing with high volume, fast-paced environments in manufacturing, wholesale, distribution and retail, on both regional and national levels. An innovative problem solver with proven history of success in design and implementation of credit policy/procedures, financial analysis, negotiations, systems management, and staff developmental training, while teaming with the Marketing Department to achieve sales and profit goals.

•	Supervision of 2 managers and 8 collection representatives 
•	Approve credit applications within prescribed limits and in accordance with credit guidelines
•	Partner closely with Business Unit leaders to ensure timely and high quality delivery of services.
•	Provide strong people leadership to all groups. Develop and coach team members and individual contributors with all aspects of their responsibilities. Actively work to promote a strong sense of team and positive team morale. 
•	Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account.
•	Analyze trends, quantifies cost/benefits, calculates ROI, and implements necessary policy changes.
•	Manage complex and high volume related Credit and Collections regions to ensure efficient operations and the highest level of customer service.
•	Develop, document and implement appropriate systems, processes and controls. Focus on automation for efficiency, speed, accuracy and scale. Optimize efficiency while maintaining impeccable quality standards. Establish metrics to measure the effectiveness of the team and identify areas for improvements

Serving as a trusted adviser to the CEO as she develops and implements DFC's strategic plan 
Reviewing outcomes and metrics created by DFC for evaluating its impact, and regularly measuring its performance and effectiveness using those metrics; reviewing agenda and supporting materials prior to board and committee meetings 
Approving DFC’s annual budget, audit reports, and material business decisions; being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities 
Contributing to an annual performance evaluation of the CEO 
Assisting the CEO in identifying and recruiting other Board Members 
Partnering with the CEO and other board members to ensure that board resolutions are carried out 
Serving on committees or task forces and taking on special assignments 
Representing DFC to stakeholders; acting as an ambassador for the organization 
Ensuring DFC’s commitment to a diverse board and staff that reflects the communities DFC serves
