Tailor Shop Administrator

Enter alterations ticket information in the computer system accurately and efficiently, organize workload by shop standards, answer telephones and direct fitters to requesting departments, understand and practice Nordstrom standard Alterations/Tailor Shop markings, perform basic garment repairs by hand, including sewing buttons, pressing and cleaning merchandise, assist shop manager with maintaining reports, demonstrate the safe and proper use of all equipment in the shop, perform monogramming with monogramming machine, as necessary

Create and maintain consistent fit, construction, grade rules and tolerances, support and contribute to visual construction, research and resolve fit and construction issues using appropriate resources, align and deliver to agreed calendar milestones, drive block pattern development and approvals and collaborate with Pattern Engineer and Product Developer on new fits for development, collaborate with Product Developers and external partners to ensure project outcomes align with priorities and direction

Technical Designer (Temporary)

Preparation of Tech packs, attending hand off meetings to Patternmaking and Production teams and assuring designs are amenable to manufacture, adherence to strict deadlines, work directly with production floor on solving issues with fabric and findings, attending fittings and documenting/implementing design changes, helping manage flow of work through production floor to ensure timely completion and delivery

Technical Designer

Originate and organize events to increase program visibility, student enrollment and retailer involvement, initiate relationships with Regional, National and International Retailers, skilled at tailoring program involvement based on their brand identity, marketing objectives and go-to-market strategies, manage program expenditures and database, create and maintain program social media site and web presence, attended national trade shows, such as MAGIC, to gain further insight into the apparel and retail industries

Assistant Director Retail Management Program

Work with machine operators during prototype sewing to ensure pattern and operation sequence are correct, prepare Bill of Materials and sequence of construction for garments and luggage, work with machine operators to resolve problems during construction.

Ran apparel Special Make Up Program (SMU) and Custom Apparel for Large Events, designed and spec’d Embroidery for apparel, headwear and accessories, liaison with Top 5 retail accounts to understand their specific merchandising needs and develop                    custom SMU programs as needed, developer/Designer, specializing on accessories, work retail floor during events and specials
