Freelance Graphic Designer

I have been working professionally as a designer for 10 years within a variety of industries from architecture to marketing and advertising. My most recent position was at CAPS Association in Irvine. There, I was responsible for studio assets and brochure design (overall image to final brochure production) working alongside the product manager developing content and brochures for the Kawasaki Motors Corporation. Our team provided support for new styling photography techniques. Ensured consistent management of photo data. Provided design support for Account Service presentations. Managed a four-person studio team. Maintained client relationships as the company’s US representative.

Created design concepts for both print and web, sketch concepts, vector drawings, digital illustrations, and production design including photo editing and color correction for clients in the Real Estate, Fashion, and Power Sport Industries.

Responsible for brochure design (overall image to final brochure production. Ensured that quality of studio photography was maintained. Provided support for new styling photography techniques. Art Director

Prepared digital images for press. Retouched images including: masking, clipping paths, and creating shadows. Color matching and proofing for multiple jobs with live product while maintaining consistent color throughout. Developed color correction techniques/processes to improve color accuracy. Collaborated with staff photographer, Art Director, and CAPS Tokyo staff to create photographs that are consistent in lighting, composition, and quality.

Color Specialist 

Responsible for sketch concepts, photo editing, color correction, miscellaneous marketing material, and the design and direction of various Kawasaki 2009 and 2010 product brochures and catalogs from concept to completion.

Designer

Independent Contractor building html and flash based web sites, building interactive flash and PDF presentations for Pixel8 Media.

Web Production Designer

Developed multi-page project booklets, company website, and layout designs for posters, advertisements, and all other presentation ready graphic material.
