I am an avid skateboarder and snowboarder who loves to get creative and build.  i have been in the skateboard and snowboard industry since 1984.  i have owned my own retail store

Done various consulting jobs from retail openings to skatepark planning.

I have been Skating and  Snowboarding since the  mid 80's  and am actively seeking  to  continue my pursuit of  happiness  in this lifestyle.

Just running the  day to day activities, sales, scheduling and merchandising.

Shop Manager

Assisted with the redesign of a local skatepark.  Attended meetings with insurance companies to explain the features, functions and flow of the park.  Assisted at the town meeting gathering feedback from the locals and translating the dialog back to the town planners and engineers.  We took an existing park from wood to concrete, updated the features and flow to allow both bikes and skateboards.  Provided sketches to create the final design and was present for all stages of development including the bidding process to assure project demands were met.

Consultant

This was a small 600 sq ft skateshop that had great ties in the local community.  We were able to implement monthly closures of the main street in town for skate demos where the local kids could skate alongside of local or visiting pros.  This attracted the news media and brought great positive exposure to the skate community. We branded our own shop decks at a rate of 50 per month and ran collaborations with a few major brands and even some musicians.

Managing Operator

Managing a retail store and skateboard shop in a shopping mall. This was fun, I was able to adjust the buying pattern to increase sales and turnover and redesign the skatepark to increase flow pattern between the wooden section and the concrete. I left this position to run a smaller skateshop for a friend.

Manager

On site Property manager for 133 condo units at the base of Mammoth Mountain.  This was a sabbatical type job living in the mountains able to hike and snowboard and enjoy life.  I handled any onsite maintenance as well as reservations, pool maintenance, spa maintenance, unit repairs, fixture upgrades, snow removal and many other day to day duties. This was a great opportunity.

Property Manager

From selling off Sub Zero and that entity moving off to Philly, I started failure Skateboards and Snowboards to address the market initiated in Cherry Hill.  This shop received Best of Philly awards from Philadelphia Magazine and Critics Choice awards from several local Philly publications. We had enormous success and an amazing professional and amateur skateboard and snowboard teams. This store had sales in excess of $1M anually, which isn't bad considering it was an $8K startup.  We also helped open doors for other skater owned entities by establishing a failure Costa Mesa Shop in 1996 to see skateboarding from both coasts. We had a local partner with that venture and it eventually became Netwerk 17.

Was the skateboard design consultant on the first Skateboard Park opened by a municipality in NJ. I was assisted by professional skateboarder JR Neves and we mapped out the entire original course for this park.  It was monumental in paving the way for other municipalities across the US for getting public funds to build skateboard parks for the community. We sketched out plans, attended insurance and township meetings, and saw the project through from beginning to end.

Design Consultant

Was an area sales rep for Gucci Timepieces.  The Severin Group was the official maker of Gucci Timepieces.  My accounts included Macy's, JC Penney, Bailey Banks and Biddle, as well as reputable independent retailers and jewelry stores.  This is what excited me about sales and opportunities in owning a business.  It taught me expense tracking, the value of customer service, order writing and forecasting, the benefits of product seminars and demonstrations.  It basically showed me the path that I would eventually follow.

Sales Representative

Start up skateshop in an area with no skate coverage and developed the brand to obtain international recognition.  Managed day to day activities, ordering, scheduling, event planning, team building and all aspects of marketing.
