Scott Lakey

I started out on them mean streets of Bakersfield California (cough) spray painting walls, painting murals, doodling, and later progressed into digital media in college at the Art Institute of Seattle. Transferred to Art Institute of Los Angeles, Santa Monica where i graduated with my AA.

Got my start in the industry designing travel guides in North Idaho for the forest service by day. At night I would work for a marketing company and sign shop producing vinyl graphics and wraps for US Marine. Got my first taste of AS industry freelance illustrating wakeboards, designing apparel, and printing decals for Krown Wakeboards of the Northwest.

Today I work as a contract, freelance artist out of my Coeur d'Alene Idaho studio. My experience has been in design for publishing, print, web, board graphics, and apparel design. I've had the pleasure of illustrating for some of my favorite bands like Stone Temple Pilots, Slash of Guns and roses to name a few.
