I was the E-Commerce manager for jackssurfboards.com and where I handled the search, email, affiliate, and social media marketing efforts. I also started my own company and developed the business marketing plan. I am hard working, enthusiastic, and believe teamwork is key to success.

Co-owner and founder of Cape and Cowl Collectibles LLC. Built and developed sales and marketing strategy for webs sales, conventions, and brick and mortar store location. I utilized 
my abilities with Wordpress, Photoshop, and Dreamweaver to build a custom E-Commerce site 
(www.CapeandCowlCollectibles.com) and implemented a strategic web marketing plan to increase 
site traffic and sales, as well as promoting the business through social media.

Key accomplishments

• Developed and built from the ground up a fully functional E-Commerce website 

• Utilize Google Analytics, Adwords, and Merchant Center to drive site traffic

• Created, developed, and managed social media channels: utilizing Facebook, Instagram, and 

relevant industry forums

• Developed business plan and raised funding to expand inventory and the ability to open a 

brick and mortar store

• Execute effective marketing and sales strategies for various industry conventions, dealing 

with the core demographic directly and building a growing, loyal customer base.

Manage and oversee the Jack’s Surfboards E-Commerce site. This included all of my previous duties as the Marketing Manager, as well as the customer service, site content, site development, shipping fulfillment, inventory management, and sales monitoring responsibilities. During my time with Jack’s I helped to develop a new e-commerce platform that is both user and SEO friendly, and which resulted in increased sales and traffic, year over year. 

E-Commerce Manager, Nov 2009 – June 2012

Key accomplishments

• Managed development 2.0 version of www.JacksSurfboards.com, with improvements in 

SEO, site navigation, social media integration, and product pages

• Managed development of the new Garage Skate Shop E-commerce site

• Implemented Abandon Cart Marketing program that contributed to over 10% of gross sales 

• Increased year over year sales in both number of orders and total dollar sales

• Interfaced with Transworld Surf to create direct linking from their online buyers guide to 

Jack’s Surfboards product detail pages

• Utilize Google shopping data feeds

• Increased social media presence through site integration and content, and day to day 

management

• Managed implementation of EDI and VIA feeds with several key vendors, e.g. Billabong, 

Quiksilver, and Volcom

• Increased Google paid search performance

Manager of E-commerce

Manage surf team and utilize them for marketing and sales efforts resulting in increased brand 
recognition. Schedule ads and art direction for surf media. Plan and coordinate contest and event 
sponsors. Create marketing materials and promotional items for tradeshows. Develop web-marketing plan, including SEO, social media, blogs, and forums, utilizing ads and marketing materials. Success working with PR and getting editorial placed in surf magazines and various websites. Visit retail shops to build relationships with current and potential accounts. Manage development of POP and floor displays. Also worked to develop grass roots marketing campaign targeting sports clubs and youth groups.

• Negotiated and signed athletes to the surf team

Marketing / Team Manager

Working with team managers, category managers, retail, sales and web team in compiling and 
coordinating updates to all Vans online sites. Coordination of the creation, implementation, and 
fulfillment of all online sweepstakes. Developed and managed and updated the Vans and Warped 
Tour social media pages including: updating pages with banners and ads, posting updates to drive 
traffic to the site, and responding to messages for customer service. As a result of this, Myspace 
became one of the top 3 drivers to the sites each month. 

Key accomplishments:

• Utilized Myspace to increase web traffic, and make it one of the top 3 drivers to the website

• Created an Excel spreadsheet to accurately track the monthly and ytd podcasts, videos, and 

site traffic for Vans websites.

• Developed successful online contests to support marketing campaigns and increase email 

sign-ups for the Vans newsletter/e-mail blasts

• Built relationships with key shoe blogs such as Hypebeast, Highsnobiety, and SlamxHype
