As a Supply Chain Manager, I have enjoyed wearing many hats during my 16 year career. Some of my previous roles include: Buyer/Planner , Production Planner, Purchasing Analyst, Supply Chain IT Project Manager, Continuous Improvement Manager, and Purchasing Organization Manager. I have often found myself leveraging my experience with supply chains both abroad (Asia, Europe) and at home in the USA. I am technically proficient in SAP AFS1 and AFS2, Oracle, and most recently JDE. I am an experienced project leader for five MRP/ERP implementations (SAPx3/Oraclex1/JDEx1) along with several cloud based Supplier Portal implementations.

As a Luxottica Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, I focused on implementation of lean training, tools & methodologies, including: 5S, DMAIC, Heijunka, Lean Conversion, Standard Work, Kanban, Cellular Manufacturing, TAKT time, SQDIP/Visual Management, Value Stream mapping, Transport Kanban, Transactional Process Improvement (TPI), and Kaizen events.

As a Lean Pillar Manager, I served as the Lean Trainer for Oakley's White/Yellow Lean Six Sigma programs, educating 250 manufacturing employees to receive their white and yellow belts while also expanding the culture of lean throughout the Oakley/Luxottica organization.

My most recent role as Procurement Manager allowed me to grow my talents as a supply chain professional with a daily focus on supplier performance analysis such as: supplier capacity, OTD/OTIF, lead time reduction, inventory analysis, multi-dimensional dynamic stocking strategy implementation, capacity planning, MPS, and detailed scheduling. 

Nominated by the Dakota home owners association to help represent 210 homes within our community, ensuring costs are controlled and changes to community properties are made safely, on-time and in budget.

Global Sourcing Commodity Manager for key Fluidmaster finished good product lines and base commodities. Work with multiple Fluidmaster plants throughout the world (Mexico, Europe, Asia) in order to:

Implemented Supply Chain Strategy which reduced Purchasing organization requirements by 2x FTE.

Created processes for quarterly MOQ review, supplier scorecarding and spend analysis in order to reduce spend by $1M/year.

Global Sourcing Commodity Manager

As the Procurement Organization manager at the Luxottica Foothill Ranch plant (1M SqFt manufacturing plant formerly operated under Oakley brand) I was responsible for the management of $200M in annual supplier spend and $20M dollars of monthly inventory management.

As team leader of seven buyer/planners, I was able identify each individual strengths and successfully achieve company KPIs and objectives:
1) Increase organization profitability by reducing inventory by $6M ($19m to $12.3m) through implementation of dynamic stock strategies.

2) Shorten supplier lead times by 20%(24 days to 19 days).

3) Improve overall OTD from 68% to 86%.

4) Increase inventory turns from 10x/year to 16x/year.

5) Successfully implemented SAP AFS1 MRP within two environments (FG Procurement and raw material Procurement).

Through these efficiency gains as well as many other initiatives my team was proven to be a major contributor to Luxottica’s annual profitability targets.

Purchasing Manager

As Process Improvement Manager I served as a hands-on multidisciplinary facilitator, manager, advisor and lean educator within the Oakley organization. Primary responsibilities included: promotion of lean culture, reduction of process waste, and continuous process improvement efforts that lead to a competitive/breakthrough advantage for the organization.

Process Improvement Manager

As Supply Chain Project Manager and Lean Pillar leader/green belt, I was responsible for implementation of inventory flow projects, lean training (yellow belt), kaizen events, and SAP ERP enhancements (e-kanban, product routing/costing, detailed scheduling, & MPS). I worked to empower employees through white/yellow belt lean training, hosting kaizen events, and reducing NVA by chartering projects through value stream creation/review.

Sr. Lead Buyer and IT project manager. Responsible for implementation of SAP procurement solutions, ERP enhancements, and TradeCard/GT Nexus/Infor cloud based supplier portal solutions.

Sr. Buyer / IT Project Manager

Managed all Supply Chain functions related to Snow and MX goggle production. Worked alongside Oakley engineers to transfer goggle lens and frame production from Oakley factory in Foothill Ranch, Ca. to Asia. Increased fulfillment by over 50% by introduction of monthly S&OP process. Provided weekly pre-book order updates to align sales regions on demand vs. forecast while ensuring inventory was within at 5% obsolescence target from season to season.
