Manager of Domestic Transportation

More than 15 years of experience in supply chain and operations roles. Experience in retail and commerce distribution, international logistics, planning & forecasting, small package final mile delivery, and 3PL management. Experience working with vendors and customers overseas and international and domestic freight carriers. Expert in drop shipping and ecommerce setup and configuration. 



Manage outbound shipping to 250 Lucky Brand retail stores in the US & Canada and more than 500 wholesale customers. Direct daily inbound LTL and FTL deliveries of seasonal apparel production. 
- Setup outbound shipping and wholesale routing as part of start up and move of DC operations from Ohio to new 3PL in Chino, CA.
- Created On Time Delivery metrics for retail store deliveries and established procedures to manage the on time routing and shipping to wholesale majors (Macy’s, Dillards, Amazon, Nordstroms).

Responsible for all US operations, including demand planning, customer service, B2B and B2C fulfillment, international logistics and inventory control. Manage relationship with 3PL and carriers. Setup drop shipping operations for 5 major retailers. and reverse logistics for top two customers.

US Operations Manager

Oversee 50 people in light assembly operation for large retail brand with full responsibility for the P&L, production planning and $25M of inventory. 
- Led operation to achieve daily Unit Per Hour target in five weeks of start-up
- Manage relationship with customer along with main supplier to maintain appropriate days on hand inventory and reduce vendor induced defects.
- Reduced daily in-line quality defects to 0.05% through training of operators, designing new line side equipment and rigorous out-of-box audits.

Operations Manager

Managed daily deliveries to retail and B2B customers in Southern California for small package, furniture and LTL orders. Oversaw Direct Import operation, shipping 60 FTL weekly.
- Completed 1.5M carton deliveries on 150 routes while hitting $28M annual budget by working daily with carriers and warehouse teams, reducing errors and adhering to SOP. 
- Surpassed on-time delivery goal of 99.30% by 11 bps in 2013 through daily conference calls, site visits, audits and building solid relationship with 3PL partners.
- Reduced customer complaints 50% from 0.16% to 0.08% in 2013 by reviewing, researching and addressing each complaint with 3PL managers and drivers, eliminating mistakes.
- Met schedule, as on-site project manager, for move of 3 supply chain operations to new 3PL through communication, planning and on-site decisions, and coordinating set up of operations.

Transportation Manager

Managed staff of 3 to support sales team with account analysis, forecasting and planning, presentations, vendor compliance, inventory tracking and shipping.
- Organized EDI document flow, alleviating delays in outbound shipping and prioritizing point-of-sale information from major customers.
- Managed all aspects of 2-largest retail accounts, totaling more than 25% of company revenue, through meetings and daily conference calls at launch of 2013 calendar season.

Sales Operations Manager

Oversaw retail and e-commerce operations, including distribution, inventory control, demand planning and forecasting. Managed retail staff of 75 and warehouse staff of 5 in 10K square foot facility.
- Opened 3-new retail outlets on time and on budget as project manager through successful planning and coordination with IT, merchandising and facilities teams. 
- Reduced shrink 3% overall in 2008 by creating new retail receiving procedures and training store staff on new procedures.

Retail Operations Manager

Handled all footwear and apparel shipments into Europe, totaling more than 5M items in 2005. Managed Dutch 3PL and relationship with 25 European distributors.
- Created shipping procedures for launch of new European 3PL, streamlining order picking and shipping for EU customers by working with IT programmers, building EDI module for ERP.
- Negotiated ocean freight rates for 3-largest traffic lanes and reduced ocean container costs by 4% through new container contract.
