Client Partner

Outside consultant brought in to manage key business development activities for various groups at Microsoft including MSN Entertainment, Bing Entertainment, and the Applications Publishing and Media team (centered on recruiting new Food & Drink / Health & Fitness content partners).

•	Closed over 35 agreements with top chefs and food bloggers as part of a recent food partner development project, in addition to signing 5 key agreements for MSN Living, MSN Video, and the company's Food and Drink and Health and Fitness applications. 
•	Managed partner relationships on all projects, functioning as a pivotal liaison ensuring effective collaboration between internal product teams and external partner representatives.
•	Worked closely to help define the strategies of MSN Entertainment and Bing Entertainment.
•	Closed over 14 agreements in the Entertainment space incl. Fandango, GetGlue, Rovi and others.

Business Development Manager

•     Served as key member of sales team for this innovative Internet radio startup, in addition to helping decide the monetization strategy for the enterprise, incorporating both syndication revenues and advertising relationships.

Drove mobile development partners to engage and use the new suite of AT&T carrier features.

Consultant

Appointed to key planning/execution role on the newly-formed PC Ecosystem & Engagement team, tasked with helping determine and develop features for the next generation of Microsoft Windows. 

•	Serve as the primary liaison between channel partners and the Windows Feature team.
•	Validate Windows product strategy and communicate it to Windows Ecosystem partners.
•	Engaged across Microsoft to identify gaps, alliances and dependencies.

Program Manager

Planned, launched, and managed three programs (video, radio, banners) designed to promote the use of the Windows Media format and generate additional revenue in the Digital Media Division; this role involved leadership of three sales forces, three technology teams, and hundreds of related partner negotiations.

•	Grew streaming radio/video advertising revenues from zero to $14.3M; co-developed a series of digital media products that reached 1M+ global viewers/listeners.
•	Sold streaming media advertising to partners including 20th Century Fox, Allstate Insurance, American Express, Blockbuster, Bose, Buena Vista Pictures (Disney), ESPN, M&M/Mars, Pfizer, Proctor & Gamble, Radio Shack, T-Mobile, Toyota, Ubisoft, and Warner Bros.
•	Led development of brand new Windows Media video ad types that broke new ground and opened the program to advertising dollars typically earmarked for television ads.  Worked closely with technology providers, ad agencies, advertising clients, and content providers to develop these programs and create lasting incentives to embrace Microsoft technologies.
•	Negotiated all contracts and managed all advertising program components.  Each program integrated with its own set of technology providers and supported advertising offerings with decision engines, traffic measurement, sales, and finance systems and processes.
•	Developed revenue-sharing relationships with 42 broadcasters for streaming video and 28 broadcasters for streaming audio, encompassing nearly 400 radio streams.  Created similar revenue partnership programs with an additional 70+ content providers. 
•	Hired/deployed an advertising survey group and operations team to act independently from the MSN video team, providing a greater degree of flexibility to advertising partners.

Led business development efforts (including the key Solution Provider program) for the MS Developers Network.

•	Consistently exceeded performance targets, achieving 115% of certification goal and leading the assigned district to a #1 national ranking in “reseller action pack” sales.

Channel Sales / Account Development Specialist

Initially managed mid-sized corporate accounts in the Detroit region; subsequently promoted to management of 80 key accounts in the Advertising, Publishing, and Media vertical within the New York metro district.

•	Built the Detroit district to rank 5th in the nation (based on revenue attainment and growth) by researching, contacting, and closing business with more than 250 separate accounts. 
•	Increased sales in the New York district by 35% in collaboration with a marketing colleague, generating ~$60M in revenue and adding a series of key accounts including the IPG family of companies, WPP, and Omnicom.
•	Persuaded companies including Bertelsmann, Martha Stewart, TPM Worldwide/Monster.com, Volt, Young and Rubicam, and Ziff Davis to switch to or remain with Microsoft products.  The New York regional team alone closed 11 three-year enterprise agreements and 25 significant knowledge-management and e-commerce deals. 
•	Created vertical-specific strategies, replacing fragmented offerings with integrated Microsoft solutions that worked effectively across both Macintosh and Windows platforms. 
•	Worked extensively with Microsoft consulting teams, large account resellers, third-party solution providers, and contractors to simplify offerings and develop persuasive incentives.
•	Developed innovative sales and account management tools for regional use; later asked to roll out these same sales tools/processes on a national basis.

Enterprise / Corporate Account Sales Executive

Recruited as the first account manager for this early-stage 20-person software development firm.

*	Achieved 100% of the sales target within the first six months. 
*	Developed prospects, sales territories, channel marketing strategies, and a lead database.
*	Established the company’s first-ever relationships within the reseller channel. 
VIRTUAL BROADCAST NETWORK

National Account Manager

Joined this start-up advertising firm as its third employee and sole sales and marketing strategist.

•	Developed company’s initial sales/marketing strategies, in addition to defining the product line, pricing strategy, and creating all packaging, brand identity, and collateral material.

Sales & Marketing Manager

Managed a staff of 19 people across four locations for this leading software and technology retailer.

•	Generated more than $57M in revenue by cultivating relationships with key enterprise clients including AT&T, IBM, Boeing, DuPont, EDS, and Texas Instruments. 
•	As the AT&T House Account Manager, produced a 150% increase in sales and built the account into Egghead’s #1 grossing account.
•	As the Government Account Rep, built new territory from zero to $150K in monthly revenue.
