Design Director/ Product Development Manager

Design Director Responsibilities:
- Product Planning
- Design Direction
- Brand Management
- Creating new processes and strategies for the brands.
- Strategize with marketing on product campaign ideas and proposals.
- Idea proposals for new project initiatives and collections to push the brand awareness and increase profitability.

Senior Designer/PD Management Responsibilities:
- Sketches and mock ups for design approval and development
- Tech packs for the designs; including measurements, materials guide and production checklist
- Create the detailed TAC (Time and Action Calendar) 
- Manage TACs to ensure each milestone is hit
- Provide cost analysis for products to determine target cost, MSRP and cost strategies for the product based on market
- 1st proto review and detailed guide for revisions for factory
- Updating tech packs and production checklist to ensure no/ minimal MP rejection rate
- Create new initiatives or processes to perfect the development process and/or production for factory and supply chain

Other Duties:
- Office Manager
- Oversee hiring process and new hires


- Design and development for all women’s leather handbags and accessories.
- Trend forecasting for product and materials, design cads, technical packages, proto development and revisions.
- Materials and factory sourcing.
- Market research with target customers.
- Sample and production coordination and management.
- All overseas factory communication for development and production.
- Marketing materials for brand launch including Lookbook, event swag product and web visuals.


Head Handbag and Accessories Designer

Designing and developing fashion forward branded bags and accessories for licenses including AMC’s The Walking Dead, HALO, Star Trek, Destiny, Attack on Titan, Army of Darkness, DC, Warner Bros. and Space Invaders.
Responsibilities: 
- Create the vision for new product lines in the bag, accessories, plush and hard goods categories to present to clients and sales.
- Oversee the creative team to execute new designs based on my vision of the product line.
- Create technical packages to work with overseas vendors for producing.
- See product through 1st prototypes to final production by reviewing and revising to produce top quality product.
- Proto review and revisions.
- Track product through all stages until final production was in warehouse.
- Communicate with the licensors for approval of design and pre-production.
- Working with the factories on testing requirements and shipping methods.


Senior Product Design and Development Management

- Create initial mood boards and concepts for seasonal lines.
- Develop technical packages for each design.
- Directly communicate with overseas factories to create prototypes and production.
- Review and revise each prototype as necessary from 1st prototype to final production.
- Apparel fittings and revisions to technical packages, spec sheets and BOMs.
- Manage product life cycle from concept to TOP
