Assistant Manager Production

I have had the opportunity to work in various positions related to retail, and product, on a global landscape for much of my career experience. And what drives me to position myself in a place in which I can succeed, and provide the best experience possible to my employer, and end user, is my passion for product, and the overall customer experience. A value, and trait, that really bridges the gap, regardless of where you are in the international market.

Responsible for managing an apparel product line, within the parameters of aesthetic, budget, and pipeline cadence. 

Working efficiently day-to-day with cross functional partners within the IM, Merchandising, and global markets, to achieve on-target, and  on-time results.

- Create development packages, and build BOMs within PLM software for sourcing offices to receive.
- Negotiate directly with sourcing/vendor offices to create design accurate sampling, which remain within the targeted budget per department/division. 
- Manage PO creation and processes, and ensure on-time delivery of shipments, partnering with IM, and logistics.
- Reading feedback from retail establishments about product execution and customer responses. 
Utilizing the information to make adjustments to future season expectations, and goal-setting. 

I enjoy to work cross-functionally with teams within, and outside the brands, to establish a more thorough business strategy, and strong message. Also, looking for opportunities to reduce expenses where possible, and negotiate new, continued, and growing relationships with vendor partners.

Performance / Active Knits 

Pre-Production
- Costing, forecasting, sampling, and developing. 
- Ensuring design requests are met, while continuing to stay within the realms of the allocated  budget. 
- Anticipating risks, and providing efficient solutions during per-production meetings. 

Production
- Continuing the progress efficiently through scheduling, and vendor management. 
- Coordinating sampling, deadlines, and working with third party vendors, suppliers, and testing facilities to ensure on-time production, and completion. 
- Managing the creation of domestic and international purchase orders, documentation, and transportation of finished product from factory to distribution centers. Resolving any issues with shipment delays, negotiations, or fees. 
- Overall, meeting the expectations of on-time delivery, of quality product, at a profitable cost, and retail price point.

Assistant Store Manager

In the Fall/Winter of 2010, I was selected and given the opportunity to help a major retailer, establish their first of what would become many stores, in the newly opened retail landscape of China. This assignment was part of a two-store assignment, in Beijing, CN. 

- Assisted in the introduction and opening of two GAP Brand Flagship stores in Beijing, China.        - Focused on operations, customer experience, sharing and educating GAP brand recognition and culture amongst employees. 

- Share knowledge and experience with local designated China store team
- Support China-store management staff with operational set-up of both flagship stores. 
- Work with GAP Japan Studio Visual team, with merchandising, and visual elements of store setup/layout. 
- Coaching and training of China store team sales/support associates. Teaching GAP "culture," and establishing the employee; International import/export. Hired to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with U.S. Distributors and International clients/consumers. Extreme efficiency, and attention to detail to ensure the top echelon in customer satisfaction. 
- Coordinate with overseas accounts and clients in South Korea. Obtain requests and fulfill all orders within established time limits. 
- Attend numerous business meetings with U.S Distributors, and clients, in regards to fulfillment of orders, account summaries, and financial expectations.
- Mediate transportation, logistics, and assemble lists of POs and completed contracts and transcripts from various third-party vendors. 
- Tend to international visits from partnering businesses.

GAP China - GAP CHINA BRAND LAUNCH AMBASSADOR

Assist in growing the overall business in retail dollars, while maintaining a healthy and positive store environment. Achieved through employee development, customer service, and on target business acumen results.
