I have spent most of my professional life in the medical field, but for years I have been intrigued by the Sports Action world. I am looking for an opportunity to start a new career, not just a job. I wish to have learn as much as I can and have longevity with a company that I can grow with.

Patient care with heavy phone interaction. Daily interaction with administrative staff, mid-levels, and physicians. Daily tasks include: scheduling appointments, answering phones, communicating with staff and physicians through email regarding patient care, reviewing and updating demographics and insurance information, and maintaining provider templates weeks and months in advance. Extensive use of computers daily, including Microsoft Office.

Patient care with face to face interaction. Daily interaction with physicians and mid-levels working on and executing patient care plans including but not limited to scheduling appointments and in-office procedures, creating referral orders, DME orders, lab requisitions, requesting and sending medical records. Responsible for sending referrals to outside facilities and physicians, while providing assessment plan information to patient also. Requested referral authorizations through third party company. Maintained strict confidentiality. Collected copays, handled petty cash and prepared over the counter receipts. Assisted Office Administrator with duties including preparing for quarterly finance meetings, and worked on team projects as employee liaison.  Also performed duties of other front office positions such as appointment scheduler and phone operator as needed. Maintained relationships and communicated with pharmaceutical and marketing representatives. Hand Picked by partners and administration to represent the company at several marketing events independently.

Front Desk Receptionist/ Check Out

Customer service with face to face and phone interaction. Extensive use of computers daily, including Microsoft programs. Create and maintain doctor’s templates and schedules for the year. Deal with pharmaceutical representatives to schedule meeting times with doctors, as well as schedule luncheons for office staff with pharmaceutical reps. Daily tasks included: scheduling appointments, answering phones, distributing next day schedules, receiving, opening, processing, and distributing mail for office, sending interdepartmental and U.S. postal mail, and keeping waiting room clean. Ordering office supplies through Corporate Express using the Internet.
