When I was 18 I left Mississippi for a skateboarding sponsorship in Los Angeles. My goal was to never return - Mississippi really just isn't my thing - but I realized the importance of university. On a trip back to California the opportunity to work as a flight attendant came my way in Phoenix so I gave it a go.
Once I finally finished University, I traveled abroad doing volunteer work for nearly two years. I worked on a farm in Italy, helped renovate a house in Bulgaria, and gave kids skateboarding lessons in Greece as well as teaching them English.
Now that the travel bug has subsided and I'm looking to continually advance my skill set with innovative companies. The ambition I once had for traveling is now fully geared towards advancing my career in NYC.
