Marketing and Lead Product Design Specialist

I graduated with a BA in Media Arts & Graphic Design from Mt. Sierra College in Monrovia, CA in 2009. I spent about 8 years working for various T-shirt, sign making, and local fulfillment companies. Since then, I have spent the past 5 years working in the marketing department at Forbes Industries. 
Forbes Industries is a global leader in the design, engineering and manufacturing of mobile products for the Hospitality and Food & Beverage Industry. We specialize in luggage carts, housekeeping carts and several mobile furniture products for the F&B industry such as bars, buffet systems, display tables, podiums, and much more. At Forbes, I have gained a ton of experience doing design and layout for digital and print media such as product flyers, spec sheets, catalogs, digital ads, website media, product photography, video editing, and 3-D modeling, and attending industry trade shows to stay up on trends. Harnessing the power of Google Sketch Up and Layout, 3-D furniture modeling has kind of turned into a specialty of mine. I got my feet wet taking our standard products and customizing them for some of the biggest hotels in the world. Some of my biggest accomplishments are working as the lead designer on projects for companies such as Disney, Four Seasons, Wynn and Aria in Las Vegas. I was recently promoted and have been working closely with our engineering and purchasing departments as the lead designer on our New Products Development team. Over the past year on the team, I spearheaded the physical design, material selections, and advertising for our newest product line "Mobile Nesting Tables" which is gaining huge success. One of my most favorite and notable product conceptions is our Mystique Mobile Bar unit that has interchangeable skins panels with built-in storage.     
I love my current job but have always dreamed of working for the outdoors or action sports industry. I would love to see how I can apply my skills and experience to a way of life that has shaped my personality and lifestyle from the ground up. 
I am a proud father of two kids and my hobbies include woodworking, snowboarding, golfing, fishing, hiking, camping and anything outdoors. 

Represent the Marketing Department on the New Products Development Team. Responsible for all conceptual 3D furniture designs to be considered for new product releases. All products are to be designed around factory limitations, budgetary constraints, and use of cost effective and reliable materials. Attend trade shows and marketing events to stay up to date with current industry design trends. Also responsible for the production and coordination of all marking materials and strategies for new product releases including local and site photography of products, catalog layout, photo editing, copy writing, and coordinating print production. 

Lead designer on Special Accounts. Join Regional Sales Managers on Special Project Bids to obtain specifications and direction to win projects. I have been involved in winning projects form companies including but not limited to: Aria, Monte Carlo, Wynn, Four Seasons, Marriott and more.

Marketing Associate

Conferred with clients to discuss and determine layout design. Determined size and arrangement of illustrative material, copy, color schemes while making sure the proper message was delivered to end users. 

Graphic Designer/Artist

Created designs, ideas, and sample layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts.

Developed graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites. Adjusted digital files to alter print elements, such as fonts, graphics, or color separations. Monitored inventory levels on a regular basis, ordering or requesting additional supplies, as necessary.
