My name is Jake Dunham, I am an Industrial Designer interested in creating beautiful, aggressive and functional product.  My main focus within design is solving the problem and interested in companies and experiences that share the same focus.  I have experience designing and creating product from consumer electronics to action apparel.  

My forte is sketching.

Industrial design and product development for the console accessories market. Responsible for primarily updating and continuing the evolution of the PDP Core line of gaming gear, accessories, and loot while maintaining on-site 3D/Rapid prototype room.

Industrial Designer

Consumer products, Brand design.
I manage multiple projects and clients and provide them with Industrial Design solutions to fit their needs while maintaining brand identity, portfolio, and design assets.  Currently implemented directly into package design to full engineering CAD design.  Responsible for initial research, design and idea to full fledge brand identity, story and release.

Action sports industry.
Assist head designer in conceptual direction, trend forecasting, preparing technical specs.  Brand focus within apparel, headwear, sunglasses and goggles.

Freelance Industrial Designer

Wireless Accessories.
I managed multiple projects and worked with a small group of designers to design and develop mobile accessories such as iphone and samsung cases, accessories and soft goods.  Advised company on how to manufacture, design, and direct product from conceptual phases through development and prototyping.  Attended trade-shows for research and trending.

Mid-Level industrial Designer

Performance Accessories Braces.
Provided conceptual blue-sky development sketch work for knee brace systems.  Application: Professional football players to normal consumer markets.

MMA Softgoods.
Provided client design direction to technical specifications for softgood bag lines.  Re-designed backpack series to uphold company's brand language and direction within green materials.
Designed: BattlePack Pro, Core, Mini Packs.

Golf Accessories. SMU
Responsible for overseeing product cut and fit and samples from overseas manufacturing.  Assisted product designers on new projects, directing color and material finish and updating product lines.  Designed 2011-13 TaylorMade Burner Series softgoods.

Technical Industrial Designer

Consumer Travel Accessories.
Assisted and designed travel accessories for multiple brands.  Learned about branding from the ground floor and how to apply experience to industrial design.  Researched and sourced materials.

Junior Industrial Designer

Athletic Performance Gear.
Designed soft good lines for Schutt Sports football, baseball and softball markets.  Researched and sourced materials, learned how to design soft goods from sketch work to technical specifications to manufacturing on a large scale.  How sourcing material and pricing all come into play while designing a bag.  Worked directly with manufacturing to produces lines.  Responsible for 2009 Winter Equipment Soft line from Schutt Sports.
