ASSISTANT PURCHASING MANAGER

I am a hard working, quick learner who thrives in a dynamic work environment. I am looking to take my career to the next level at a company who values hard work and has room to promote. With over 9 years of purchasing experience in both apparel and interior design, I bring a lot of knowledge and skill to the table.

-Managed the purchasing team including reviews, training, managing schedules etc. 
-Assign projects to each purchasing coordinator, over see their work and monitor efficiency
-Create, expedite and monitor all PO’s
-Order all elements of each project from furniture, fabrics, accessories, etc.
-Manage project budgets
-Monitor all invoices to ensure accuracy on items and costs
-Negotiate contracts, terms and shipping arrangements will all vendors
-Keep up on current trends to help search out new vendors
-Manage vendor relations and price negotiations
-Create trucking contracts based on proposals with builders, directors and trucking companies
-Run inventory control reports to ensure all returns and deliveries are processed
-Work with builders and project managers to coordinate install dates for all elements of the project

-Create and manage all PO’s
-Work with vendors on completion of orders, cost negotiations, missing fabrics etc.
-Schedule and manage international shipments from our vendors of completed goods
-Work with customers and trailer companies to ensure proper and timely deliveries
-Manage inventory of client orders at our warehouse
-Manage vendor relations and work on new products for our line
-Add new line items to our system including uploading images creating descriptions and pricing

PURCHASING COORDINATOR

-Maintain daily, week, monthly sale reports for all brands
-Created PO’s for any marketing tools and promotional items
-Created PO’s and set up VPN’s for all department orders
-Helped manage markdowns, re-orders and RMA’s
-Managed orders by ensuring timely delivery to DC, issuing extensions, doing price adjustments, and doing item maintenance
-Ran detailed selling reports and created spreadsheets to track success of division brands
-Worked with vendors to maintain excellent relationships that meet Nordstrom standards
-Organize large vendor meetings and put together sales packages and presentations
-Create season look books to promote seasonal beauty line launches for all stores
-Scheduling meetings, maintain calendars and organize travel plans for 3 buyers
-Tested products to provide feedback and help in product selection
