I actively design and create garments at home in my free time!

I am creative, hard working and dedicated to completing tasks assigned in a professional manner.

- Balancing weekly spending for my division.
- Building relationships with local & overseas vendors to source and purchase fabrics and trims.
- Fulfilling sample requests in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Following up with local and overseas vendors to ensure that orders & requests are met on time.

Design Assistant

- Creating Specifications for garment construction and measurements based on fittings, tech packs and company standards.
- Measuring samples to be evaluated on fit.
- Providing comments and detailed diagrams, in a timely manner, on garment construction and fit for factory production.  Also answering any additional questions from the factories via e-mail.
- Managing fittings and making corrections to fit and/or construction as needed in order to carry out designer’s vision.
- Working closely with pattern makers and graders to ensure development process is being completed correctly.
- Overlooking spec writers to see that all tasks are completed. 
- Hiring & Training any new spec writers.
- Leading spec writers in the right direction to complete work effectively and time efficiently. 
I have also carried out these additional tasks:
- Tracking and completing purchase orders from beginning to end; time sensitive to its cancel date. This process includes coordinating samples to be made for fit, using necessary trims and fabrics. As well as communicating any and all corrections with the buyer and implementing them throughout the process.  
- Training employees on a new Garment Tracking computer system (PLM).  I represented the pre-production department in the process of switching to this program. I also set up all the grade rule tables in the new system.  

Furthermore, I created detailed sketches on Illustrator to produce a manual for company guidelines on how to measure.  (Samples in portfolio)
