20+ years of Management and Supervisory experience in Operations, Logistics, Distribution, Production line, Manufacturing and Warehousing industry / DC operations, that entailed managing multimillion dollar budgets, MRP, ERP, Purchasing, Procurement, Forecasting and Demand Planning responsibilities

Apem is a manufacturer of complex electro-mechanical industrial and computer operated joystick control devices, switches, switch panels, LED indicators and flight simulation controls for Consumer & Government markets. 

Responsibilities: 
•	Responsible for managing a vertically integrated operation: From in-house conceptual product design, complex tooling made in-house, Precision Screw Machine operations, injection molding operations, onto final product assembly and ensuring that all products are manufactured to strict customer specifications.
•	Directly Manage the company production planning/forecasting, Injection Molding operations, Purchasing on a global scale, Stockroom/Warehouse operations and while managing the outside processes and the coordination of logistics of materials for the Assembly line operations at a facility located in Mexico 
•	Continually improve the efficiency of the existing organizational structure to match customer demand. 
•	Develop, implement and/or refine processes to optimize throughput time, flow of materials, workplace engineering and cost reductions wherever possible. 
Contributions:
?	Was the integral person responsible for transforming the operation from a family owned company with informal business processes and for it to become an ISO 9001 Certified company 
?	Completely restructured warehouse layout, injection molding operations and all production / assembly line operations to be more efficient
?	Implemented lean manufacturing policies and procedures that took the operation from 59% on time delivery (when I first started) to consistently being above 95% since 02/2011.
?	Independently sourced and set up the satellite Assembly Operations within a Tijuana Maquiladora that additionally includes the responsibility of the logistics of transporting materials back and forth across the border and on time delivery of various products.

Operations Manager

Responsible at various levels for buying or approving the purchase of goods and services needed by the company from locations both foregin and domestic. Oversaw the acquisition of medical devices, equipment, materials and pharmaceuticals that were needed for inventory replenishment, production schedules, equipment, or construction contracts. Also responsible for negotiating contracts, sourcing new product, forecasting inventory replenishment requirements and planning the load capacity of containers from Asia, Taiwan and Pakistan.

SR Purchasing Manager

Held full responsibility for the entire companywide supply chain operations, transportation and inventory management. Served as Purchasing agent charged with liaising withseveral vendors to place orders for procurement, to manage on-going relationships, handle new product rollout, vendor selection and price negotiations. Oversaw all aspects of forecasting, load planning, shipping, order management, product allocation and availability for 250+ SKUs with 8 week lead time at locations across North America, Canada and Puerto Rico in a high volume multi unit retail environment. Developed and performed comprehensive inventory requirement forecasting for 19 regional 3PL distribution warehouses, 2 mail order processing facilities, and 600+ corporate and franchise retail outlet locations using multiple methods of distribution. Ensured adherence to shelf-life requirements, freezer capacity and other space constraints. Directed logistics and transportation planning for complex international shipments between facilities using land, sea and air transportation channels while staying within a 7M annual budget solely for transportation costs. Accountable for cycle count and annual inventory procedures at company owned facilities as well as third-party distribution facilities. Was a vital factor in the launch of new WMS that also included scanner technology implementation.

Demonstrated expert business analysis skill and functional knowledge of value stream mapping to identify, resolve and prevent unplanned inventory deployment exceptions such as, but not limited to, production shortages, necessary stock redistribution, forecast changes/fluctuations, and transportation interruptions.

Manager of Inventory Control, Distribution / Logistics

Managed a 300+ member production staff at 3 locations in Mexico handling the manufacturing of 700 products distributed globally with the added responsibility for Production Planning and maintaining inventory levels. Defined “Lean” procedures and process flows for production line, maintained scheduling of work in progress, and documentation bill of material specifications per product. Interfaced with Manufacturing and Purchasing teams to coordinate availability of raw materials; ensuring system data represented real-time quantities and requirements. Utilized MAS90 / 200 to create Bill of Material for each part number; created and maintained unique barcodes for each product based on client retailer, including large discount stores(Wal-Mart, Costco and Linens & Things) and Internet orders. Held accountability for Quality Control team and compliance of products with client-specific requirements and local / international regulations. Liaised with freight companies to coordinate logistics for all finished products from Mexico production facilities. Maintained unsurpassed levels of inventory integrity.

Manager Production, Inventory and Master Planner

Oversaw day-to-day operations of a high-volume Service Center with 50+ member team; held full responsibility for timely, efficient, and safe delivery of client shipments. Ensured all team members met established guidelines / goals as well as client-specific requirements. Facilitated product recovery, delivery and load planning for DHL commercial aircraft. Led long- and short-term operational planning, including coordinating resources, developing performance goals, and implementing effective operational procedures. Recruited, trained, and evaluated team members on a daily basis. Facilitated team member collaboration and assisted other departments and clients to maintain high standards; handled escalated customer issues as necessary. Communicated regularly with other Service Centers, U.S. Customs officials and vendors to foster inter department cooperation. Branch Manager / PM Operations Supervisor

Managed plant operations for 24-hour thermal injection-molding facility creating Styrofoam packaging material for private and government clients in adherence with strict requirements. Recruited, trained, and mentored 75-member team; held responsibility for new supervisor training. Coordinated and adjusted production schedules, oversaw new hire training, addressed and corrected product non-conformity issues. Operated, calibrated, maintained, and repaired KURTZ industrial thermal injection-molding machines, as well as other specialized equipment. Led maintenance training for boiler system, vacuum and water pumps, chiller system, and water tower.

Plant Supervisor and Safety Director

Directed all aspects of Warehouse operations for multiple locations for an international wholesale of computer parts and accessories distributor. This was in addition to overseeing the entire pick, pack and ship operations including quality assurance and inbound / outbound logistics planning. Oversaw 26-member team, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluation. Facilitated weekly meetings to review sales forecasts, as well as shipping and safety issues. Liaised between corporate headquarters and other offices; presented daily operational issues to senior management. Performed daily computer inventory and cycle counts as well as annual physical inventory.

Led weekly team meetings to review goals, assembly line operations, sales, fiscal planning and budgeting. Held accountability for production forecasting, scheduling, and manufacturing for all computer products. Coordinated biannual inventory cycle and scale counts for all finished goods and raw electronic components. Oversaw software application testing to verify compatibility with existing systems. Supervised receipt and QC inspection of incoming materials for adherence to quality standards and stringent engineering specifications for assembly line operations. Directed international and domestic logistics, customs clearance, and shipper export declarations for all items.
