SQL Support Technician

I have been fortunate enough to work in or with a multitude of industries including Semiconductor, Medical Devices, Defense, and General Electronics to name a few.  With these experiences, I have learned how various companies effectively manage their production.  I have a strong background in software that is used to support a production environment.



-Create support tickets for any issues customers may have with data communications to website backend (database).

-Resolve issues with data communications to customers control meters such as gas, electric, solar, and water.

-Create and configure new customer websites with supplied information on meters, map locations, and meter units

-Use SQL queries to extract complex data structures for analysis.

-Frequently running stored procedures, windows tasks, and SQL Jobs in order to initiate processes.

- Primary advisor for application interface and functionality for use production planning and tracking environments.

- Train customers regarding configuration of WIP Tracking software for their unique production processes. Suggested ways to help improve customer’s data collection methods and production flow.

- Because of our position as a WIP Tracking software developer I was able to effectively assist and support companies from a multitude of industries. To name a few: Aerospace, Optical Telecommunications, Precious Metal Recycling, Food Processing, Semi-Conductor, Hi-Power Laser, Medical Devices, etc.

- C# and JavaScript development of Manufacturing Execution System application. Including development of middle-ware applications that connected to application via webservice API’s.

- Use of IIS and SQL Server Management Studio to implement applications used in customer production environments. This included on-site servers as well as cloud based servers using Amazon AWS.

- Development and Maintenance of software help files.

- Creation of icons and other graphic images using Photoshop for use in application and help pages.

- Local PC software/hardware purchases, maintenance, and installations.

Production Planning Advisor / Software Engineer

- Used SAP - Make To Order (MTO) software to scheduled production, work orders Scheduled parts with a multitude of suppliers to meet manufacturing deadlines.

- Create Work Orders and Production Travelers for aircraft repair, inspection, and creation.

- Responsible for tracking all segments of production line for all aircraft in hangers.

- Distribute parts to production areas as needed.

- Planning for part shipments from off-site warehouses or facilities.

- Quickly picked up SAP Software and was able to provide support to employees who were having difficulties understanding how to use the software package.

- Perform routine checks of work instructions related to

Master Planner

- Perform real-time tracking of production lines consisting of many different product types.

- Create simple Access Application used to maintain inventory and created Bill of Materials.

- Order additional inventory when low level indicators are flagged.

- Ship product out the door to customers using various shippers.

- Receive parts from many different vendors and distribute to controlled inventory or place in second stage inspection areas.

- Work with vendors to reduce costs and work on volume discounting.

- Perform quarterly physical inventory counts and compare numbers with database.

- Provide all inventory management numbers, including costing and on hand values to accounting.

- Serialized and barcoded all discrete inventory parts, and created lots for non-discrete part types.

Inventory Control Manager, Database Administrator

- Began company as the sole Computer Aided Drafter for the design team. Responsible for design and layout of Waveguides used in Photomask layouts.

- Primary purchasing contact with Photomask vendors as well as negotiating better pricing. Reduced Photomask cost from $22,000 to $1200 per mask while I took over task.

- After product layout design matured, began to split time between the Manufacturing and Testing departments and Design team.

- Became Manager of Manufacturing and Testing departments. Oversaw product assembly, testing, packaging, and shipping product to customers.

- Assisted with Telecordia Testing, ISO preperations, and ITAR Compliance.

- Generated certificate of conformance material for customer shipments.

- Utilized "Theory of Constraints" or bottle-neck locating, to optimize production line.

- Created and administered an extensive Access database which was responsible for tracking production, importing test data, reporting inventory levels, tracking design
specifications and revisions, exporting purchase orders, analyzing various data types to name a few of its features.

- Helped perform workstation set-ups and create new user accounts on Windows 2000 server.

- Efficiently managed a group of up to 7 persons within my department.

- Handling of outsourced product with multiple vendors including overseas vendors.

- Created ISO work instructions for the design department.

- Perform DRC checks within the DW2000 layout editor
