Freelance Graphic Artist

I possess extensive experience in all primary facets of graphic design specifically in the areas of package design, POP, catalog layout, and other printed material design using Adobe CS6/CC on Macintosh based graphic platforms. My experience in packaging design in regards to company standards plus developing new designs and standards for future products have been the focus of my most recent work. I also poses the ability to construct excellent working mechanical and proofs to get true look at a future project.

Characteristically, I believe that my success as a graphic designer has been the result of my ability to consistently deliver a high degree of technical competency, customer service and written and verbal communication. Furthermore, my strengths of meeting deadlines, managing multiple tasks and to working as a team member in a proactive and creative fashion have also contributed to my success.

Worked both in-house and remote on a variety of graphic design projects including packaging, catalog/page layout, photo retouching and photography. Companies ranged from large corporations to small businesses including Incase, Stanley Black & Decker, Camel Financial, Twistory Studio and Birdstreets Entertainment.

Worked in Go To Market department creating internal marketing material to be distributed internationally to sales force. Created marketing Playbooks used to outline 2016 marketing direction for Snow, Lifestyle and Training departments. Built R1 Tech Sheets of new releases for Sunglasses, RX Glasses, Moto Goggles and Snow Goggles. All books included images and infromation of brand new items and new color designs for 2016. Each book was distributed internationally.

Contract Graphic Artist

Corporate graphic designer for this regional manufacturing company that designed, manufactured and
packaged hardware supplies for Home Depot, OSH and other hardware suppliers. Worked with entire
marketing department on all product aspects including POP, packaging design, updating packaging
design, signs, price labels, product bar coding and any internal artwork or designs.
•	 Designed new packaging concepts to be used as pitches for new clients. Including polybags,
clamshell inserts and carded item.
•	 Designed wingstack POP packaging for test stores at The Home Depot. Designed the brand standard
to which all future designs would adhere to.
•	 Created individual price labels for entire product categories up to 1,000 individual SKU’s.
•	 Co-directed new digital filing system for all existing and new digital art files. The new system
eliminated problems from the past which included lost artwork and unusable digital files.
•	 Generated bar codes for new products to be used in both data dumps and individual placement.

Senior Graphic Artist

International manufacturing company that designed, manufactured and packaged scuba equipment.
Worked closely with the art director and marketing director on all aspects of company image from
packaging design to photo shoots. Responsible for layout and design of price guides, reference manual
and consumer catalogs for all three Sherwood brands, Sherwood Scuba, Genesis Scuba and AKONA.
• Assisted distributors with product shots and information regarding product line.
• Designed a new image for packaging for the AKONAAdventure Gear product line.
• Scheduled and oversaw numerous studio photo shoots for all three product lines. Prepared all the
digital images for use in advertising and catalogs.
• Set up Power Point presentations for product repair clinics.

Graphic Artist

Head of the art department for this national Promotional Product industry supplier that was named one
of the top 10 fastest growing companies in the industry. Responsible for all pre-press aspects of art
used for in-house screen and pad printing. Created advertisements, fliers and other offset printed items.
Oversaw general maintenance and troubleshot for all office hardware. Supervised 2 artists.
• Built and started a new art department, researched and purchased all department equipment including
3 work stations, Macintosh and PC machines, color and oversized printers plus a film processing
system all under budget.
• Worked on the development team which patented a printing process called Image Bonding™.
• Provided innovative approaches to print design and process to enhance and expand catalog items.

Responsible for general graphic design for this subsidiary of White Cap Industries, a professional
contractor supplier, with 70 locations in 17 states. Worked with department heads and art director on
multiple projects ranging from catalogs, fliers, and signage supplied to all the stores and the corporate
headquarters. Desktop publishing of monthly magazine and yearly catalog.
• Produced digital layout of monthly discount magazine. Gathered and formatted product photos,
information, and prices. Output film, proofed and corrected the blue line proof.
• Updated annual 500-page catalog with new product photos, revised and created product descriptions
while deleting and reformatting pages for new products. Worked with outside vendors to properly
feature individual items.
• Produced signs, forms and general art for each individual store.
