Design Director

Create and strategize seasonal SKU and merchandising plans. Conduct trend analysis, forecasting and competitor research. Attend and oversee fittings for each category.
•   Establish "best practices" across all categories with the design team.
•   Create and adhere to seasonal time and action calendars ensuring smooth development and design
processes through timely launch.
•   Collaborate with related departments to ensure cross functional adherence of design, technical and production departments.
•   Mentor and lead design team and overseas style creations ensuring a cohesive collection.
•   Create trend, color, wash and key item boards as well as "big ideas", seasonally.

Created and successfully launched denim collection for Brand of Gypsies brand. Managed employee
recruitment, training and retention. Implemented workflow, built and directed new team through inspiring
management. Designed and developed directional contemporary denim collection with the Band of Gypsies
aesthetic.
•   Sourcing and procurement of new fabric, wash and trim
•   Scheduling workflow from design through production
•   Establishing effective PR and social media campaign
•   Ensured brand success through relationship development and brand placement
•   Exceeded company distribution goals through landing key accounts such as: Nordstrom,
Bloomingdales, ASOS, Revolve, and Top Shop
•   Secured private label orders with major UK high street retailer New Look and KK By Kendall & Kylie
