PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT & FOUNDER 

I am a performance focused product development engineer with a passion for technology. My experience has been centered around the development of wearable devices and sensor technology for the consumer and medical device marketplaces. Using a 7-phase development process, agile project management, and my expertise in human movement biomechanics I have successfully launched 8 new products to the market. I am a hands-on, proactive team player, with the ability to lead product development teams from product concept to product launch. 

o	Develop and implement hardware and software applications for measurement and assessment of athletic and high-level human performance activities. 
o	Services provided are typically are unavailable in the customer’s pool of in-house technical expertise or experience.  
o	Services include advising on research development, thought leadership and scientific communication, athlete management strategy, and sport technology integration. 
o	Customer base is limited to professional sports organizations and Fortune 500 corporations. 



o	Served as the Director of Product Design and Development, QA/QC, Technical Education Services, and Sales Support & Business Development on the senior management team.
o	With the President/CEO, VP Sales, CTO, and COO, was charged with implementation of the company’s vision and mission through strategic planning, deployment, and execution. 
o	Responsible for the management and success of multiple departments, which contributed to a positive change for the business:
o	85% increase in leads and a 42% increase in revenue.
o	68% reduction in build time and 19% reduction in RMAs and failures. 
o	40% reduction in new product’s Time to Market. 

Product Design and Development 

o	Developed medical grade sensor technology: Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), Electromyographic sensors, high speed optical cameras, and research grade biomechanics software. 
o	Responsible for maintaining budgets, timelines, and employees through milestone-based development. 
o	Responsible for the financial outcome of new product development, decreasing development cost by 34% while simultaneously launching new products with a 19% reduction in RMA/failure rate.
o	Granted two provisional patents (USPTO) for novel sensor technology and a system of biomechanical technologies. 
o	Facilitated robust product testing of alpha and beta prototypes, improving product quality at launch. 
o	Implemented an agile product development process (hardware & software).
o	Reduced time to produce go-to-market products from 48-month to 18-month cycle.

QA/QC

o	Achieved quality systems and medical-grade certifications, including FDA, ISO 13485, EMC, FCC, and CE. 
o	Directed quality system audits, investigated failure modes and their effects (FMEA), completed corrective and preventative actions plans, and remained compliant to each medical device standard for all regulatory bodies, foreign and domestic.
o	Implemented manufacturing process improvement projects that realized product cost reductions of 12% and production time reductions of 46%. 

Education Department

o	Founded a Technical Education Services Department with an initiative to develop customer training, customer engagement, and product use-case resources.
o	Partnered with local universities to create an internship program, to expose students to the industry-based product development process and expand our hiring pipeline.  
o	Developed Product Manuals, Product Training, Application Training, and Tutorials for current customer base. 
o	Successfully launched in-person educational events throughout the United States, Canada, Ireland, UK, Germany, Netherlands, South Africa, Japan, China, and Australia.  	
	
Sales Support & Business Development

o	Responsible for domestic and international customer engagement events, educational opportunities, and conference presentations.  
o	Implemented user group meetings to provide education opportunities and gather customer feedback. 
o	Liaison between sales and professional sports teams, sports medicine hospitals, and clinical researchers.
o	Domestic and international key partner development to build a world-wide network of advocates and improve brand/product awareness.


Director of Research and Development

o	Project manager for wearable device products and mobile applications for corporate partners (adidas/Google). 
o	Designed and developed UI/UX for an IMU/GPS based athlete monitoring system with partner for elite sports performance/sports science monitoring (adidas).
o	Developed and managed product development and strategic roadmaps based on corporate partnerships (US-Dept of Defense) as well as consumer grade products (SKLZ/adidas).
o	Managed clinical research and validation studies focused on wearable sensors, web experiences, and rehabilitative training protocols (Google/Intel).
o	Developed analytics and created data driven reporting for EXOS’ sports science department. 
o	Managed and directed video and photo shoots for new media assets and product content 
o	Scaled products, education, and content to 2500+ coaches, physical therapists, and nutritionists remotely located across 35+ satellite facilities.


R&D DIRECTOR: PERFORMANCE INNOVATION TEAM 

o	Medical device product expert for surgical tool sterilization product line.
o	Addressed field service cases and ensured all documentation was accurately logged into claims system.
o	Interfaced with multiple groups and levels within QA, R&D, Manufacturing, and IT. 
o	Analyzed medical device failure data across numerous product lines.
o	Prepared regulatory documentation for FDA and internal audits.


MEDICAL DEVICE QA SPECIALIST 

o	Facilitated product development testing utilizing motion analysis and mechanical testing equipment.
o	Analyzed and interpreted critical data to influence future product development and manufacturing. 
o	Developed and refined testing protocols for prototypes.
