Owner/Co-Founder

My fiance Moises Arellano and I founded DNA FC in 2009 as non-profit 501(c)3.  This organization was established to provides a platform where soccer athletes, between the ages of 18 - 28, can continue to play the game they love at the highest level possible.

My duties include the following:
Managing the budget and all fund raising; player management; game day operations; managing equipment and uniforms;  assistant coach and suggest game strategy;  community relations.

Independent consultant specializing in the following:

Business Management:  operations, finance, business development
Management Coaching:  organizational design, training, staff development
Creative Direction:  design, brand, image
Marketing Strategy:  print, digital, media
Event Activation:  plan, organize, implement

While carrying the duties of President of Windells Academy and Vice President of Windells Cam simultaneously, I was responsible for all facets of both businesses.  Windells Camp is the premier summer action sports camp for snowboard, ski, skateboard and bmx athletes.  Campers of all ages (8 - 88) and abilities can attend day or overnight 8 day camp sessions from June - August.  Windells is the hub for the action sports industry during the summer as Mt. Hood is the premier location for summer riding and has been an industry leader since 1988.

My responsibilities at Windells Camp included but were not limited to the following:      
Director of camp operations for 300 - 400 people per 8 day session from June - August (1300 total campers over the Summer); responsible for the hiring, training and management of year round staff (10-15) and summer staff 110 – 130); responsible for all financial aspects of the business – managing budgets, expense tracking, revenue forecasting, negotiating sponsor contracts, process payroll, AP/AR; oversee year round operations including winter and spring camps; overall business development and growth; oversee creative direction and development of all print, digital and social media marketing strategies;  oversee production of all photo and video media assets;  attend, activate and present at snowboard/ski/skateboard events across the U.S.; responsible for the design, production and sales of all Windells products – hoodies, tees, hats, water bottles, etc;  accountable for all sales results including camp sessions and sales from the e-commerce store; ensure highest level of customer camp experience and focus on camper retention; worked side by side with Tim Windell, owner/operator and external accountant to ensure the financial success of the business.

This dual role required me to be in the Windells Camp office (Portland, Oregon) two days a week and on the Windells Academy Campus (Sandy, Oregon) three days a week. Vice President

While simultaneously carrying out the duties of President of Windells Academy and Vice President of Windells Camp, I was responsible for all facets of both businesses. 
Windells Academy is the premier private boarding action sports high school (9-12). Students daily participate in their sport for four hours and attend high school classes for four hours.   

In 2009 worked tirelessly with Tim Windell to launch the start-up Windells Academy based on the Windells Camp athletic platform.  Over the last 6 years I have help build the Academy to be the premier action sports high school.  Growing the student body from 2 students in its first year to 27 students in 2015.  

During my employment, I was the President and acting "School Principal" responsible for but not limited to the following duties:  Hiring, training and managing 13 staff members (2 Teachers, 5 Coaches, 2 Cooks, 3 Resident advisors and 1 Maintenance); accountable for all financial aspects of the business – managing fiscal budget, expense tracking, revenue forecasting, processing payroll, AP/AR; responsible for overall business development, student recruitment and increased enrollment; managed creative direction and development of all print, digital and social media marketing strategies;  oversee production of all photo and video media assets; attend and recruit students at snowboard/ski/skateboard events across the U.S and Asia; oversee all programming and daily scheduling; assisted coaches in planning and budgeting during travel season; dealt with all student discipline and behavior issues; worked side by side with Tim Windell, owner/operator and outside accountant to ensure the financial success of the business.

President

Orchestrated turnaround of numerous Wells Fargo branches:  Within six months time, organized and developed underperforming stores by creating teams with a vision.  Focused on employee development and success, and created clear lines of communication and transparency between management and employees.

Reduced employee turnover through retention strategies:  Focused on employee job satisfaction through career pathing, one-on-one coaching, and promoting those who exceeded expected sales and service performance standards.

Swiftly improved branch sales and service levels within first month:  Implemented “customer first” policy to ensure client loyalty, satisfaction and trust.  As our level of service improved, our sales increased.
