Lead Design and Graphics

Goal-oriented, driven and diligent individual. I have expertise in the areas of men's and women's sportswear and active wear. I work directly with the Creative Directors and my teammates and together we develop the new fashion line for the new season from design concept to production.

*Work with Clients to develop products from the design process through production 
*Manage design and technical design areas, communicate with Factories regarding costing, production issues
*Manage all styles for several lines, including our brand and SMU projects.
*Create Graphic Design Presentations for large retail customers using CADs, Illustrator,Photoshop
* Prepare comprehensive development Tech Packs  and Spec Measurements to send to designated factories for sampling and bulk production. 
*Use the Time and Action Calendar tracking system and a WIP report to keep up to date with specific tasks that need to be completed to meet development deadlines.
*Work closely with Overseas and Domestic factories to ensure proto samples are correct, and on time and communicate Daily
* Manage the company website, and migrate the company website to the ecommerce Shopify platform

*Work with Clients to develop products from the design process through production 
*Source fabrics, trims, ,hardware, sewing, printing, and manage all areas of production
*Manage all styles through a PLM system including revisions, costing, etc.
*Create Graphic Design Presentations for large retail customers using CADs, Illustrator,Photoshop
* Prepare comprehensive development  Tech Packs  to send to designated factories for sampling and 
 bulk production. 
*Use the company wide PLM system (Flex) to enter styles in development.
 *Use the Time and Action Calendar tracking system to keep up to date with style specific tasks that need to be
 completed to meet development deadlines.
*Work closely with Asian factories to ensure proto samples are correct, and on time and communicate Daily

Product Development

* Create Cads for Men's, Women's, Girls, and Boys- all types of apparel. 

* Create artwork, layout and color positioning charts for Men's and Women's stripes, plaids, and prints using a weave program, illustrator, and photoshop

*Amend and re-color existing prints/artwork and color ways

* Translate trend and vintage inspirations into original designs, repeats, and color ways

* Create tech packs with detailed specifications that include printout of designs, disc of artwork and repeats, size of repeats, material selection, special treatments, print techniques, color swatches, art placement or border selection, color tabs, etc.

* Design and implement code for websites, perform maintenance updates on websites

Designer

Design innovative outerwear, technical snow apparel, and streetwear with all eco-conscious fabrics

Working closely with the creative director, Head Designer and sales team and actively involved in designing new styles for each season, sketching, researching, developing line sheets on illustrator

Creating CAD flat sketches and prints using a weave program and Illustrator

Creating very detailed tech packs for technical outerwear and street wear for development overseas and locally

Sourcing trims and Fabrics overseas

Researching current trends

Responsible for the updates, maintenance, and re-design of the company website

Attend events and shop the markets to take “street style” photographs for Stylesight website

Trend Research Intern

-Create original prints, rework and recolor prints to create various colorways and repeats for contemporary clothing brand

-Actively involved in Designing new styles for the appropriate season, sketching, researching for deliveries, providing graded tech packs, costing, sourcing fabrics and trims in the local market and internationally, production issues as they arise. 

-Communicating with vendors overseas to develop garments and fabric print strike off’s. Working with local LA vendors to finalize details on garments, following up on samples with local contractors, managing the design room both pattern maker and cutter.

Assistant Designer

*Exceeded Net Sales plan for the 5 years I was at the company
*Launched a new successful young men's brand (Ely 1878) 
*One of our biggest Retailer's eliminated 3 other competitors to make our brand the only supplier in the category
*Responsible for the  domestic and overseas product development/pre-production of several branded product lines
*Manage the development process/pre-production approval process from sending the first tech packs through production to ensure 
delivery dates are maintained, via internal and external calendars.
*Build technical specs, Responsible for fit approvals, shrinkage, wash approvals, design, artwork, lap dip & strike off approvals
*Negotiate costing and source fabrics with factories   
*Create flat sketches and CADs for new design concepts
*Create concept boards for vendor presentations and markets. 
* Research fabric, trim, colors, and industry trends for Seasonal line development
*Develop prints, plaids, and embroideries, and embellishment designs 
* Also rework and recolor prints and plaids to create various color ways and prints, and repeats
*Responsible for Creating, Managing and updating the company website and social media pages

Dollar General
* Create Cads for Men's, Women's, Girls, and Boys- all types of apparel.

* Create and Design graphic prints for Women's sleepwear and active wear.

Freelance Print Designer

*	 Meet with buyers to show the line during Market week appointments
*	Create flat sketches for new concepts & catalogs and Assist CAD artist in creation and manipulation of prints 
*	Analyze inventory and communicate with overseas vendors on the status of samples, fabrics, etc.  
*	Managed the Sample Room and the Showroom
*	Performed website maintenance and updates  and Provided Computer support for the NY office-troubleshooting issues, installing hardware & performing system updates

Design Assistant and Office Manager

*     Created content management systems so the customer service representatives could easily manage sections of Kraft's websites, such as Frequently Asked Questions.  
*	Worked with Altavista to do Site Engine Optimization for many of Kraftfood’s sites
*	Worked with clients to determine needs for reporting on websites and created a web based reporting system  to generate reports 
to display customized website statistics 
*	Created a database structure using SQL and created a web based application to display product information system and nutritional information, ingredients, etc. on the website
