I’m an ocean-loving environmentalist and creative wordsmith committed to helping responsible brands and non-profits build community through meaningful content. My niche is sustainable fashion, circularity, low-waste living, and travel, but I am always open to exploring new topics. Skilled in copywriting, editing, creative marketing, social media, and storytelling strategy, with a deep-seated passion for collaboration and using business to drive change.

Copywriting and editing for print, digital, and everything in between. Projects include catalogs, email, website and blog content, product descriptions, line guides, social, packaging, in-store signage, promotional material, hang tags, etc. 

Copywriter

Part-time position with Patagonia Santa Monica. Assisted customers on floor and at register. Served as the shop's Environmental Grants Manager, reviewed grant applications, and facilitated the distribution of $50K to local nonprofits. Kick-started internal composting program, which served as a pilot for Patagonia retail.

Sales Associate + Environmental Grants Manager

Created content for a variety of publications and brands, digital and print, with a focus on travel and sustainability. Co-wrote a weekly column in The Wave, the longest-lived and most widely circulated newspaper on NYC's Rockaway peninsula, in print since 1893.

Freelance

NYC Urchin was a digital hub for the NYC surf community. Covered local events, promoted new NYC surf brands, and helped organize fundraising events (for non-profits and Hurricane Sandy efforts). Co-founded the Brooklyn Surf Flea, a series of markets that brought together 20+ local brands and artists to sell goods and foster community.

Founder + Editor

Managed the marketing calendar and digital presence for the brand. Responsible for the ideation, creation, and management of content across all channels, which entailed content strategy, copywriting, photography, graphic design, and customer care for Loomstate and ROGAN brands. Assisted with merchandising for Chipotle (uniform partner) B2B and B2C sites.

Coordinated customer-facing workshops in partnership with local non-profits, as well as internal volunteer days, including implementing an ocean-friendly garden in lower Manhattan.

Worked with marketing teams of collaborative brands (Chipotle, Yerdle, Shake Shack, Able Made, Spring) and non-profit partners (Stoked Mentoring, Surfrider Foundation NYC, Audubon Society, LES Ecology Center, Billion Oyster Project).
