Boys Volleyball Coach

I am a web developer that specializes in React, Ruby on Rails and JavaScript. Before my time as a developer, I spent a decade in the housing and finance industry as a Realtor which has allowed me to blend my soft skills such as problem solving with diverse technical skillsets. 

For the past 7 years, I have been able to share my passion and love of volleyball as a coach to high school students. Coaching allows me to maintain my team building and management skills as well as quick deployment of alternate strategies. 

Currently, I am developing a web app that focuses on finding local food festivals around your area. My primary goal with this application (built with React) is to have a visually appealing design that allows for ease of use.

The South High Spartans Boys Volleyball Team is currently league champions of the Pioneer League and Semifinalist of the CIF Division 2 Southern Section. As one of the coaches in a highly ranked volleyball program, our main priority is simply teaching. We are fortunate to teach something that can be fun and engaging however, this can turn into an opportunity for the players to lose focus - especially if they are not full-time court players. 

Developed tryout app to assist the coaches with managing the tryout process of our steadily growing program 

Live, in-game statistical tracking which provides alternate defensive strategies for our players to execute
