Buyer

Using my operations experience from both large corporation and small company environments, to develop  the most productive team possible. A dedicated, detail oriented problem solver, I carry responsibility  well and have the ability to quickly adapt to changes in a fast paced industry.

*Place all Purchase Orders for the company, as the only Buyer, upon receiving necessary approvals from the executive staff.
* Request quotes from suppliers for any needed materials and negotiate improved pricing for single orders and long term contracts for items used commonly in production.
* Set up new suppliers in the system, obtaining all required paperwork such as NDA's, W-9's and negotiating best possible payment terms.
*Generate supplier scorecards at the end of each quarter, reporting scores to our top 20 suppliers.
*Log all purchase orders in an ongoing internal log and send a report weekly to executive staff reporting all spending by department and account type, tracking all cost savings and spend analysis. I review the spending report weekly with the CFO.
* Work with all suppliers on expediting delivery when parts are urgently needed.
*Track open and overdue PO’s and work with suppliers to close orders in a timely fashion.
*Manually track and manage inventory for engineering and NPI projects with Excel. Generate new Bill of Materials, Routing and item costs for NPI and engineering products in the system.
*Continued as a member of the internal Audit team to retain and maintain ISO 9001 certification.

* Release work orders to production and issue necessary raw material inventory to account for both the build quantity and yield loss.
* Help the Operations Manager manage the production line, consisting of 1215
operators, to keep manufacturing flowing. Fix manufacturing/testing issues quickly to lose as little time as possible.
* Work directly with the sales team to apply the sales forecast and current orders to scheduling of production and shipping of customer orders for on time delivery. Keep an open communication daily with sales for customer Pull-in
and Push-out requests, adjusting the production schedule accordingly.
* Manage inventory levels of raw materials and work directly with purchasing on any material shortages.
* Create assigned bin locations for inventory and started weekly cycle counts leading to a much improved organization and more accurate inventory counts.
* Responsible for working with offshore contract manufacturers through phone and email to meet production schedule. Process paperwork and system transactions for drop shipments from CM.
* Coordinate wafer sort and back-end processing of production and engineering wafers, always working to decrease processing costs and expediting delivery dates.
* Added to the internal auditing team in early 2013, to help continue the standardization of processes and procedures for Gigoptix and maintain their ISO 9001 certification.

Production Control Planner

* Physically receive all incoming shipments for the company and log all material on internal receiving log.
* Check received materials against pack slip and PO for accuracy and completeness. Deliver
materials to proper individual or department.
* Ship out all materials for the company using FedEx, UPS, DHL and other third party carriers.
* Fill out all necessary customs documents for international shipments (commercial invoice, SED, AES, etc.).
* Contact and work with suppliers for any shipments containing errors, damages or incorrect parts.
* Work directly with quality department to assure packing slip, shipping paperwork and material all match and are correct before releasing shipment.
* Picked customer orders based on weekly backlog, working closely with Production Control.

Logistics Specialist

* Receive parcel and palatalized inventory daily at the Bay Area hub, holding inventory for 12 Northern California branches.
* Responsible for contacting vendors/suppliers to report and fix any shipping errors, shortages,
R.G.A.'s or damaged material. Maintained active non-conformance Excel list for these items and worked directly with AP to correctly apply material to invoices.
* Very efficient with time management and problem solving to keep inventory moving from the dock to the shelves as quickly as possible.
* Quickly and efficiently picked customer orders with limited errors using handheld system.

Receiving Clerk - Distribution Center

* Responsible for purchasing and replenishing inventory for the Tualatin, OR distribution center along with 3 local branches, holding up to $5 million in inventory.
* Maintained, forecast, and controlled inventory levels for both fast moving and obsolete items.
* Used an Oracle based program, Regis, for purchasing and monitoring inventory levels.
* Trained fellow buyers in the use of Oracle, Passport, and SAP systems quickly and efficiently.
* Used Excel daily to communicate product and buying information with branch personnel and
managers.
* Proficient in reducing inventory to help meet financial goals for the west coast division quarterly.
* Worked independently and efficiently with little supervision.
