As Category Manager, led an entire licensed product category in kid’s outdoor products. In charge of entire product development process, Conception to product launch, Resolved product quality and liability issues through detailed investigations at the factory level. Documentation of license approvals with Disney, Marvel, Nick. And others. Direct negotiations with Disney, LucasFilm and others. Working directly with China staff and vendors. Travel to China offices and factories. Negotiations with factory, lowered overall product costs.
As Senior Designer, made recommendations which changed faulted designs into viable market ready products, with sale of designs to Target Stores of more than 125,000 units.
In Staff Designer role, designed the outer cover of the first prototype MRI scanner at USC, while also heading many successful color & graphic design initiatives for Yamaha Motor Corporation.
I am easy to work with. I believe that one must adapt to new situations constantly to be an effective worker. I am not bothered if I need to roll up my sleeves and get my hands dirty to get a job done. At my former jobs it would not be unusual to see me in the warehouse working with co-workers to finish a project.
