Product Development Sr. Manager

•Lead 10 person Product Development team to support $123 (fob) million business across Performance Apparel (Snow, Surf, Golf, Training, Cycling) and Accessories product categories.
•Drive product management process to deliver quality on-time products, by managing regular/long lead-time calendars and managing cross-functional teams.
•Champion working relationships with Design and Merchandising to proactively manage styling, material and trim requirements relative to commercialization, performance, quality, cost, lead-times, and minimums.  Entrepreneurial problem solving and risk assessment.

•Manage Product Development process and product lifecycle.  Partner with Design and Technical Design on fit, balance, construction, and style intent.  Partner with Sourcing to ensure vendor capabilities are compatible to style allocations.
•Communicate, inform, and problem solve issues to all related internal/external partners.
•Negotiate costing with vendors to hit / exceed margin targets and maximize profits.  Seasonal partnership with Sourcing teams to ensure seasonal margin goals are met.
•Track and manage workflow and workloads of teams, to ensure product requirements and all deliverables are met.

•Factory allocation and capacity planning of $12 (fob) million knit/sweater business for Wilfred brands.
•Develop and implement production plan to achieve strategic balance of capability and capacity across vendors, by seasonal and monthly analysis of vendor capacity and risk assessment
•Entrepreneurial negotiation of raw materials and finished good deliveries, providing quick turn of all orders, to ensure appropriate stock in the right product at the right time. 
•Negotiate all cost components to maximize margins, and negotiate payment terms with vendors to ensure healthy cash-flow and minimize unnecessary finance fees.
•Responsible for order placement and management, reacting quickly to sales and ensuring all orders are placed in a timely and detailed manner.
•Manage raw material reserves with mills and factories for quick turn orders, to maximize sales.
•Cross Border point person for manufacturing division, responsible for gathering all product data, seasonally to ensure Aritzia brands are pre-classified properly with Canadian and US customs.
•Manage and lead team of two, to facilitate department objectives and individual career goals.
•Travel to Korea, Hong Kong, and China.

Production Department Manager - Knits

•Responsible for managing $2.4 (fob) million lab coat and medical scrubs business.
•Operational management of 51,000 units.  Monthly inventory analysis, purchase orders, raw material and trim orders, scheduling of vessel/air shipments, and execution of in-factory/warehouse audits.
•Create and implement global sourcing strategy for yarn spinners, dye houses, fabric mills, factories/agents, and trim suppliers.  Ensure strategy for each country will achieve, or exceed, profit margin goals.
•Responsible for price negotiations of yarn, finished goods, trims, freight, commissions, and fob/ddp garments.  Calculate finished goods costing for domestic CMT production.
•Created and implemented finished goods inventory system, maximum and minimum levels, based on historic and monthly sales data analysis.
•Design and develop new styles, fabrics, and trims for existing line and launch of new collections.
•Schedule and lead all fittings with outside pattern service.  Ensure design concept, construction, grading, and markers are correct.  Keep all development and production projects on schedule.
•Travel to China and Guatemala.

Product Manager (consulting)

•Responsible for managing $42 (fob) million Bella, Canvas, Ingrid & Isabel, and Kariban business.
•Operational management of 25 million units.  Weekly inventory analysis, orders to suppliers, prioritizing in-process based on demand, approving vessel/air shipments, moving containers, and executing shipment quality audits upon arrival.
•Implement domestic and overseas sourcing plan by placing production in appropriate countries, to enable quick turn for long range inventory planning.  Ensure sourcing strategy and vendor base will hit, or exceed, profit margin goals across all brands.
•Successful launch of two product lines for Target stores/Target.com, resulting in 590k units sold.
•Responsible for all price negotiations for yarn, greige goods, commission knitting, dyeing/finishing, finished goods, trims, fob/ddp garments, and agent commissions.
•Finished goods costing for all domestic styles.  Calculate each style’s usage of yarn, commission knit cost, dye cost, spreading/cutting cost, fabric consumption, trim cost, and sewing cost. 
•Domestic raw materials planning for local cut/sew operation; 1.7 million lbs of greige goods, 1.7 million lbs of dye orders, 1 million yards of finished goods, and 30 million units of product packaging.
•Responsible for product consistency.  Ensure quality/color is standardized across all countries of manufacture, with little to no variances.
•Attend all fittings to ensure each style meet designers expectations and ensure each supplier adheres to strict quality, construction, and fit standards.  
•Oversee 18 employees and manage fabric/trim department, quality control team, sample room, and cutting department.
•Extensive travel to Guatemala, Vietnam, Cambodia, Philippines, China, Egypt, Turkey, and Israel.
