Summary

I was born and raised on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe. I dove in feet first with all that Lake Tahoe had to offer. I started snowboarding in 1988, and to this day continue to do all the sideways sports and pass the skills, knowledge, and history down to my children. I grew up in an era where snowboarding was only allowed at 2 resorts, and by the time I graduated from high school, all area ski resorts allowed snowboarding. Being on the front lines of this progressive growth, I let the sports and lifestyle shape me to my core. Snowboarding, skateboarding, and surfing is a lifestyle for me, and all that comes with the passions I keep my finger on the pulse from art, music, events, athletes, pioneers of the sports, market trends, startup companies, resort strategies and development, and overall outreach to those that embraced these sports. Not only did I seek this out locally in Lake Tahoe, I travel both domestically and internationally, participating and observing these sports and lifestyles throughout the world. I have watched these industries grow and it has been tremendous.
With more than fifteen years of demonstrated success in the corporate environment, I am an experienced leader with a deep background in operations, sales, business development, manufacturing, logistics, CRM, strategic analytics, performance consulting, and management. My knowledge of the strategic, tactical, and technical needs of the front line, coupled with my ability to manage and direct teams and accomplish specific goals has led to successful product implementation, process enhancements, and company and department wide initiatives. My formal education and company training coupled with my professional experience makes me a great fit and adaptable. Prior to joining Washoe County School District and operating my own small business, Tahoe Metal Works, I held a position at Harley Davidson Corporate. My former positions with Harley led to visiting and working with more 450 U.S. Harley-Davidson Dealerships in 47 different states. I went to all HDI manufacturing facilities, led and attended company sponsored Regional Sales Seminars, worldwide dealership shows, and town hall meetings. I was exposed to similar scenarios working for Lincoln Electric – Torchmate as well. Both Harley-Davidson Inc. and Lincoln Electric Co. have been in business for 115 plus years and have developed strong corporate cultures and identities. I see that same type of holistic lifestyle identification in my personal and professional life.
