Communications Manager

Seasoned apparel merchandiser with expertise in a variety of areas including merchandising timelines, production delivery schedules, overseas vendor relationship management, and staff management/leadership. Well versed in software applications including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, and using these skills in a marketing/advertising capacity related to design and graphics. Branding expert with HTML, PHP & CSS coding knowledge and skill. Currently operating in a telecommuting capacity and not looking to change this in the near future.

Subject Matter Expert (SME) representing the Merchandising, Design and Development departments during the implementation process of Dynamics AX from ABS. Responsible for attending meetings, validating and providing data, testing the system, and training others on subject matter.


Product Master ERP Analyst

Manage and oversee communications on category plans throughout the organization and lead/manage the junior members (3) of the Merchandising Operations team. Also responsible for maintaining the integrity of all data within the Style Master, including costing, pricing, currency pricing, dimensions and attributes of all styles and ensuring accuracy globally. Serve as main liaison for all departments when in need of system-related data in order to maintain consistent communication as related to our product offerings.


Product Data Integrity Manager

Manage product category line lists to track the development status of new concepts from innovation to market for both the Accessories and Institutional Apparel businesses.

Facilitate weekly product development meetings and maintain accurate data for cross-functional communication and reporting to teams including Sales, Inventory Management, Marketing and Sourcing.

Prepare setup forms using Excel for data entry into Apparel Business Systems (ABS) database; reformatted forms.

Confirm final product costs with Product Development in order to set pricing according to company gross margin goals.

Run weekly report of closeout styles for distribution in an effort to clean up old inventory via discounted sales.

Manage product creation timeline on a seasonal basis to ensure parties are completing tasks as assigned.

Merchandising Operations Coordinator

Review purchase orders, oversee order entry after buying commitments have been secured and keep accurate record of available inventory.

Comply with retailer requirements in floor-ready guidelines, packaging, shipping and assortment.

Run reports, enter factory orders and manage customer orders using Oracle Applications.

Communicate with overseas vendors to ensure the on-time delivery of all seasonal shipments.

Adjust customer purchase orders based on factory-indicated shortages and overages.

Analyze sales report data in order to track the most successful SKUs to continue building top-performing assortments season to season.

Created and formatted a new inventory tracking file using Microsoft Excel to ease the process of managing inventory by customer and season.

Partner with in-house sales team assist with assortment planning and setting pricing based on individual customer P&L data.


Lead Merchandiser, Apparel Division

Maintained sales accounts for customers such as JC Penney, Ross, Sears, Dillard’s, etc.

Assisted customer buying teams in managing open to buy by keeping accurate inventory numbers and negotiating unit prices.

Input customer purchase orders using Apparel Magic and followed-up throughout the production process to ensure that all customer-driven directives were followed.

Acted as liaison between buyers, vendors, and in-house staff to make sure that everyone was receiving the same information.

Received and sent pre-production or top of production (TOP) samples to store buyers and testing facilities via UPS World Ship.

Provided input on design artwork based on best-selling styles and individual customer demographics.

Kept record of where goods came from in order to create accurate General Conformity Certificates.

Effectively communicated with overseas manufacturers as needed to ensure correct manufacturing/packaging.
