Front End Developer/UX Designer

I am a part of the user experience team as a front end developer and contribute to several projects in the company. As a front end developer my main responsibility is generating HTML/CSS/JS for the users interfaces. I collaborate with server side developers in a C#.NET MVC environment to create dynamic content and integrate the code from the user interfaces into Sitecore.

The majority of my time has been spent on the online enrollment application for the Medical Mutual Individual Insurance Marketplace and the My Health Plan application where existing members manage their insurance plan.

Aside from those applications, I am involved with developing other public facing websites for the company including an internal recruitment website and various other web pages.

Brought in as a contractor 2 months into the project, I was a part of building a new CRM system for Macy's and Bloomingdale's department stores. As the front end developer I was in charge of coding the Javascript, HTML, and CSS for the user interface. 

I lead the way to better front end practices in order to create a more sustainable , lean code base. I introduced the team to responsive design in order to make a code base that is not only re-usable across brands, but across devices as well.

I also implemented the use of AngularJS routing, as this was a single page application with a majority of the controller logic running on the client with AngularJS. 

We utilized AngularJS for the front end framework to create dynamic functionality and an interactive user experience. The application was built to run in IE8 on the store registers and in Safari on iPad.

AngularJS/Front End Developer

I design and develop user interfaces and user experience for client projects while collaborating with several different development teams. At any given time I am juggling multiple projects. My roles for any given week range from web design to front end development to content management system integration all while independently learning the newest technologies to keep up with the needs of each client. My most notable work is on the ongoing development of the Ben and Jerry’s website to integrate it into the content management system Jahia. I have also done work for clients such as Lands' End and Cleveland Clinic.

I was also solely responsible for the design and development of Avantia's website redesign including integrating it into our CMS. Some technologies I work with are Spring, ASP.NET, .NET MVC, and Durandal frameworks, as well as Bootstrap, Gumby, and Less. My most used languages are HTML, CSS, Jquery, and JSP. • Re-designed the company’s web applications implementing a cohesive, company-wide style, while setting up a
seamless transition from one style sheet to the next without disrupting current functionality
