Operations Supervisor

Temporary assignment.  Managed the installation of an inventory control, bin location system for MWD’s eight warehouses in Southern California and Arizona

Project Manager

Managed the operations of the Start-Up Division’s unionized distribution center. A temporary position, responsible for the receipt, storage, staging and logistics of shipping hospital equipment to Kaiser hospitals and medical offices in Southern California.

Operations Manager

Managed the operation of a national distribution center using a carousel storage system as well traditional warehouse shelving for a manufacturer and supplier of drilling tools, carbide cutting tools, and carbine blanks. 
Achievements:
•	Evaluated different storage devices and reconfiguration of a warehouse to double available storage space. 
•	Developed safety committees and policies to provide warehouse associates a safe working environment resulting in reduced injuries and increased productivity. 
•	Used team building skills and Kaizen principles to reduce warehouse errors by more than 75% and increased efficiency in warehouse operations. 
•	Prepared and reviewed bi-annual capital and expense budgets and department goals to say within budgetary guidelines. 
•	Created and utilized KPIs to document, improved performance and identify potential issues.

Warehouse Manager

Responsible for customer service, spare parts fulfillment and logistics of three public warehouses for a home fitness equipment manufacturer and distributor.

Operations and Logistics Manager

Managed the operation of a parts distribution center and call center for a consumer electronics, home computer, and professional recording equipment manufacturer and distributor.  Reviewed inventory levels, initiated purchase orders, approved purchase orders, reconciled cycle counts, conducted daily cycle counts.
Achievements:
•	Implemented an automatic call distribution system resulted in 90% of all incoming calls being answered from 50% which resulted in increased sales calls, customer satisfaction, and in increased sales.
•	Developed an on-line order entry of parts orders that resulted in same day shipping, improved order entry accuracy, provided price and availability.
•	Created inventory control systems that reduced backorders 50%, identified dead stock, increased inventory turns four times, identified overdue purchase orders, and eliminated the need to shut down warehouse operations for a physical inventory.
•	Developed training outlines, job descriptions, employee evaluations, to train and developed subordinates to take on additional responsibilities in warehousing, inventory control, phone center supervision, and customer relations resulting in a talented, cross-trained team of associates.
