Alfredo Ramirez has been an active leader, sport advocate and surf athlete in the U.S. and Mexico border. His active leadership role makes him a great bi-national ambassador in the region and internationally.

Founder/ Director 

•	Directs the organization’s operations including the development of the annual budget, grant seeking and community relations. 
•	Co-founder of the Baja Bound Surf Series a series of three surf contests in San Diego and Baja California. An event organized by UAPO, WILDCOAST and Baja Bound Insurance with the goal to promoting bi-cultural exchange and environmental awareness among youth surf athletes. 
•	Founder of The Walter Caloca Surf Open at San Miguel, Baja. This event is UAPO’s largest event and has brought hundreds of surfers from both sides of the border in the last six years.
•	Develops the UAPOS’ marketing outreach and media relations. Key point of contact for all major internal and external relationships including sponsors, donors and media. 
•	Organized and Coordinated the International Surfing Association (ISA) Judging Course in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. 11 judges from Baja were certified.
•	Provides surf lessons and surf coaching from children to adults.  His coaching career includes the 2015 Mexican National Junior Surf Team preparation for the Vissla ISA World Junior Championships, and Baja Surf Team Coaching for the WSA (Western Surfing Association) surf series in California.
•	Co-founder of the Baja Surf Club, BSC. The BSC was born in 1965 with the mission to support our youth for a brighter future, protect our coasts, and to always show a positive image of Baja. The club was reborn in 2014 after 50 years of being founded.
