Contemporary Technical Men's Denim Designer

With almost 9 years experience in the fashion industry (product development and technical design); I am a very ambitious and driven individual.  I have a great sense for creativity but a keen eye for product delivery.  I am seeking opportunity in the industry of lifestyle with the opportunity to travel for work. I believe it is the time of my career to be able to not just bring product from concept on a computer, but to also travel the world to get inspired and bring to reality better products for consumers.

Lead Technical designer for Men's Domestic and Men's Import cut and sew garments.
-Works closely with design director and wash developer on denim washes; pp, 3D whiskers, rinses etc.
-Executes design concept from rough sketches into full technical packages; sewing construction, garment rinses and washes, and technical sketches.
-Communicates with over seas vendors for all Import cut and sew garments from development into production.
-Attends fittings on live male model; allocates fit comments and specs after all fittings.
-Allocates color and trim approvals for all proto samples and bulk production.
-Executes in salesman samples to speciality accounts (Bloomingdales and Nordstroms) from tech packs into actual in house cut and sew pieces; working with pattern makers, fabric cutters and sewers.)
-Develops all new label packaging from hangtags, main labels, size tables and all joker tags with local Los Angeles Vendors.
-

-Takes lead in fit consistency for women's and girls division.
-Leads fittings with live women and girl models.
-Communicates with Coordinators and designers on product specs and fit comments.
-Specs all samples (knit tops, bottoms, dresses and screen prints) from China vendors from proto stage, 1st fits, pre-production and into top of production.
-Develops all development tech packs to send to over seas vendors.
-Problem solves any production issues with design team.
-Knowledge of pattern work and garment construction.

Technical Designer - Women's and Girls

Associate Designer (Womens and Girls) 2012-2013
-Works closely with Senior designers for all ready to wear, jackets and career line collections from concept to actual salesman samples.
-Creates all seasonal line sheets and tech packs.
-Codes all trims within each season.
-Executes all sales request for accounts; works with pattern makers to create new patterns according to requested styles; works with fabric cutters and sewers for finished garments.
-Sources new trims and fabrics with local and over seas vendors.
-Works closely with sales team during market week.
-Creates illustration CADS.
-Works with graphic team for all print development, re-colors and print revisions.
-Works on deadlines in a timely matter.


Technical Designer (Women's and Girl's dress division) 2010-2012
-Creates and revises all tech packs from development to production.
-Creates sewing detail pages, construction pages and packaging placement.
-Works closely with design team, pattern makers and sewers to ensure actual in house garments are cohesive with technical packages.
-Great knowledge and understanding of garment yielding; engineer prints, all-over prints to repeat prints.
