Partnering with Rusty Del Mar, we started an annual surf contest with the goal of creating a fun, energetic event to kick off the summer in Del Mar. Since the number of local events has declined dramatically, we wanted to create a fun contest that focused more on the family values and giving newcomers a chance to compete in a non-intimidating environment. We saw tremendous growth from 2013 to 2014 and look forward to growing the event in the years to come.
