Key liaison to the DC related to daily allocation goals and allocation productivity.

Assists with and leads special projects (e.g. BTS strategy, Top Stores, Seasonal transitions, etc.) and global analysis as they relate to allocation strategies.

Manages DC inventory with the goal of minimizing holding. For replenishment items, ensures that stores are always in stock by size and receives stock on a timely basis.

Proactive and insightful analysis of store performance, communicating with the team issues and potential solutions. This would include but is not limited to: store review and rankings, an understanding of seasonality and peak selling periods that require adjustments to metrics, knowledge of future on order, hindsight review of key selling periods.

Develops allocation strategies particularly for assigned seasonal product.

Communicates store inventory deficiencies or excesses.

Partners with the store planner on store needs, store openings & remodels to ensure stores are properly set up for maximum performance.

Meets with planning and buying at least once a week to align strategies.

Contribute in discussions on evaluating, developing and adjusting future product to the needs of the business. 

Forecast sales and markdowns and reconcile on order. 

Attend team OTB discussions to develop understanding of key financial concepts and components. 

Develop expert knowledge of customer base (through store communication and local store visits)

Analyze product and store performance while developing and executing allocation strategies that will maintain appropriate inventory levels in stores and contribute to the meeting or exceeding of sales, gross margin and inventory goal. 

Develop knowledge of regional variances, store attributes and trends through data analysis and field communication. 

Analyze and recommend product and store level sizing where appropriate.

Work effectively as a member of a cross functional team by focusing on team objectives and communicating clearly, developing effective relationships with partners (Field organization, Store Operations, Visual, Warehouse, Production, vendors, etc.) to maximize opportunities and minimize risks/liabilities to GUESS.
