After a successful but short Army career which included a combat tour in Iraq (04-05), I attended Motorcycle Mechanics Institute (graduated in 2007) in Phoenix, Arizona. I grew up in the Northern California BMX, downhill mountain bike, and motocross scene riding and racing from age 4 until I joined the U.S. Army at age 19. Being an avid Mountain bike rider and motocross rider/racer and enthusiast, I would consider myself to be very much disciplined in both sports. I have an extreme passion for research and development, engine and suspension modifications, and have experience working with all Japanese motorcycle manufacturers. I am familiar with all major motorcycle and bicycle companies, parts, apparel and accessories. It may have been a short time ago, but during high school, I took a work experience class working for a local bicycle shop in Petaluma managed by John “Ponch” Muela where I learned general bike maintenance, and shop skills. During this time period, my mountain bike skills really came to life when I was given one of Marla Streb’s team downhill bikes. I competed in the Sea Otter Classic in 2002 and won the Jr. 18 & under downhill class by over 7 seconds. From there I went on to race at Snow Summit (3rd with no chain), Northstars Lake Tahoe and a couple of races around this area never placing worse than 3rd. At the time, I planned to make downhill mountain bike racing a career when for some reason, I joined the U.S. Army (2003-2006). I learned many skills in the Army that would benefit me in the civilian workforce. From 2008 till late 2011, I was paying my bills as a Deputy Sheriff in Indianapolis, Indiana. However, during that time I have obtained an Associate’s Degree in business and successfully started a service department for a local motorcycle shop in Indianapolis, Indiana. More recently (2012), I was working as a parts associate for a major Yamaha, Suzuki, and Polaris dealership in Westfield, Indiana. I was also the dealership’s shipping and receiving associate maintaining and shipping all orders for their sister company Onlinecycleparts.com... I have knowledge of all things Moto and mtn. bike related as well as a pretty good technical background. I have relocated back to my roots of Northern California (summer of 2012) and currently live in Petaluma where I worked for United Cerebral Palsy of the North Bay as a Production Warehouse Supervisor until I attended a Police Academy in Jan, 2014. I have a law enforcement background as well, but my passion is with mx, mtn. bikes, and the outdoors. Since that time, I got back into all mountain/ downhill mountain bike riding and plan to get back into the racing scene and see where my old rusty skills will take me. I spend all my free time doing all things outdoors. With my background in BMX, mtn. bikes, and motocross, I feel I have sense of what makes a good product, what works and what doesn’t work. I currently train, test (bike and suspension), and work with my brother’s motocross career where he is a very competitive 450B class rider in the Northern California area. One more thing, I want to work!!!
