•Served as the primary point of contact for resolving desktop/workgroup-related problems in a 100-plus user environment.
•Responded to users’ request regarding hardware and software computer/laptop issues.  Hardware issues ranged from replacing a faulty mouse, keyboard, printer, or monitor, to the replacement of faulty computer internals such as hard drives, motherboards, power supplies, and removable storage devices.  Software issues ranged from the installation of a software driver to the imaging of a computer/laptop.
•Responsible for making network ports active for wired connectivity and connecting wireless laptops and smartphones to the City of Tucson’s wifi.  Established VPN accounts by requests to allow users access to work email remotely.
•Frequently trained users on how to operate newly installed software.  Created software training manuals, charts, graphs, simple illustrations and computerized help files to aid in user comprehension and training purposes.  Comfortable with directly teaching groups of ten or more as well as over the phone or via email.
•Worked closely with Information Technology as department liaison to establish new user accounts, perform network maintenance, provide software education, departmental computer inventory, and organize and assist with departmental computer upgrades.
•Created and maintained the City Clerk’s dynamic web pages created in XHTML, CSS and PHP.
•Maintained the City Clerk’s intranet using Joomla CMS.
•Created, developed, maintained, and debugged custom proprietary computer applications written in MS Access and Visual Basic.
•Manipulated existing graphics and photographs in Photoshop for the City Clerk’s intranet and internet web pages.
