I am passionate about the  outdoors and have devoted  a large portion of my  professional life to  helping people find the  same joy in it that I do.

As a member of the EMS eCommerce team, I am tasked with writing engaging and educational web copy focusing on hardgood product lines and technical outerwear, often making complicated and specialized equipment easier for our customers to understand. In addition, I help our customers get a sense and feel for a product that they cannot touch. 

I aim to blend complicated terms, materials, and products with the language of our customer to make information easily digestible, while also presenting an authentic and knowledgeable voice for the EMS brand. I am able to disseminate information in our brand’s voice while taking the opportunity to reform how we speak to our customers. Most important, I help develop a need for the product, an urgency to buy, and a trust that we are the company to buy from. 

In addition to writing web copy, I also develop content for many of the sell-through tools we use in our brick-and-mortar locations. I am often called upon to create content such as positioning and romance statements for use on our product hang tags and series tags. Much of the content I create is then tweaked and inserted into other in store marketing such as our pamphlets, flipbooks, and fact tags.   

I have also acted a coordinator for our product information videos. I have worked with the merchants to prioritize products, decide which items need to be focused on, and which items will benefit most from a video. Collaborating with our videographer, I have arranged times to shoot product videos, and secured in-house talent to participate in them, along with writing scripts for the talent to follow.

Responsible for satisfying customers and driving sales and profit performance by: recruiting, hiring, training and managing the performance and development of knowledgeable, outdoor oriented, customer service focused associates; retail operations management (i.e. pricing, shipping and receiving, visual merchandising); business generation through maximizing existing practices and creating new, innovative approaches; and effective on-floor leadership as a role model of outstanding customer service.
