Industrial Designer

I am an Industrial Design professional in Los Angeles working for the Sunscope Group of Companies and additional freelance projects. I design and develop custom tailored retail products, promotional marketing products and PHARMA medical compliance products for Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses and entrepreneurs.

While in design school at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GA Tech), I interned for the campus assistive technology research institute CATEA, original skate shoe and protective equipment brands Vans and Pro-Tec and the Industrial Design consulting firm Big Bang.

After arriving in Southern California, I continued to explore design education at the Art Center College of Design extension program with classes in Design Process and Sketching for Designers.

Contract freelance product design and development initiative. Assist individuals and businesses in bringing product ideas to life from initial ideation to domestic and overseas factory coordination. Current clients include American Illumination and Bradley Lighting custom LED lighting and Yummy Spoon baby products.

Research, brainstorm, design and engineer promotional marketing, retail, and medical compliance products for corporations, businesses, and inventors. Manage multiple projects from initial ideation to final production and delivery with offices and factory in Hong Kong and Ningbo, China. Created intern program. Clients include: Proctor & Gamble, Coca-Cola, Unilever, Geico, American Express, Anheuser Busch, Novo Nordisk, BMW and Subaru. 10 patents issued.

Intern and contract designer for product discovery and implementation consulting firm. Involved in design research, idea farming, concept generation, product sketching & rendering, vendor coordination, product testing, and design competition entry. Clients include: Newell Rubbermaid, Goody, Cuisinart, DenTek, Char-Broil, and BARD Medical.

Intern for original skate shoe brand in equipment group. Conducted extensive design market research by visiting local skate, surf, and watersport shops to survey retailers and consumers. Designed and developed wakeboading personal flotation device for Pro-Tec product line.

Managed graphic and exhibit design projects for GA Tech research institute utilized by staff research scientists. Center focuses on research and development to better the lives of disabled individuals.
