Pre-Production Coordinator

Background experience in the apparel product development process and supporting all design aspects. Able to excel and establish a consistent work ethic in the rapidly growing fashion industry. Highly driven multi-tasker and motivated to achieve high levels of efficiency and insuring set development deadlines are met.

• Prototypes: Coordinate sample review and fit model meetings, check in/out photo shoot samples, prepare and send out all cut pieces for domestic and Asia printing, review/check garment construction and fabrics/trims/components sent from vendors for approvals and responsible for tracking and maintaining all prototype organization. 
• Sourcing: Prepare all incoming/outgoing shipment of sourcing requests or samples to/from Asia and input data sent or received on Sourcing Tracking log. Maintain files of all approved and unapproved sourcing including but not limited to: components, fabrics, trims, etc. Communicate with all vendors on reviews of sourcing and art strikes. Order fabrics, trims or components needed from approved vendors or Supply Chain Manager using ABS system.
• Tech Packs: Create tech packs to include spec sheet created by patternmakers including patterns, attach fabric/trim swatches and photos of components to include with prototype sample. Prepare and coordinate shipment of tech packs and prototypes to vendors for quotes and counter samples. 
• Sample Management/Licenses: Prepare and ship all sales samples as requested from sales department. Prepare line for trade shows and customer meetings. Manage license product communication, submittals and approvals with development team and licensor. 
• Copy Report/Costing: Update copy report with style names, numbers and product description includes per copy report process. Temporarily gathered costing information and ensure estimated Cost Tracking log is updated and accurate. Coordinate cost meetings and communication between vendors, Director of Pre-Production, VP of Design & Development, VP of Manufacturing & Co-Owner on costing status/issues. Drive margin targets and develop an understanding of overseas material cost and labor rates.
• Domestic Travel: Attended and worked the company booths at the 2015 Halloween Party and Expo trade show in New Orleans, Louisiana. Prepared company line samples with designers to be shipped and ready to present at the show. Presented new and previous lines to buyers, answer questions and took purchase orders.

• Specific Responsibilities: Input and maintain all pre-production dates and information on specific tracking log spreadsheets. Ship and check in all prototype samples, create sourcing requests and sample approval forms for costume/graphic designers to review. Create tech packs and review counter samples for approval when received from vendors by checking construction and all fabrics/trims/components. Work with Product Safety Specialist on fiber content formats for each style and maintain or update preliminary and final testing fiber content information received from vendors for care labels and costume inserts. Manage all sales sample requests for customers and prepare line for trade shows. Purchase fabrics/trims, organize and file domestic or international print strike offs. Manage company social media websites and working with costume/graphic designers for any creative contents such as graphics/videos needed for submission. 
• Domestic Travel: Attended and worked the company booths at the 2014 Halloween Party and Expo trade show in Houston, Texas. Prepared company line samples with designers to be shipped and ready to present at the show. Presented new and previous lines to buyers, answer questions and took purchase orders.
