My relevant qualifications include 20 years in sales and sales management. My most recent position was the Western Regional Sales Manager at Kaenon Polarized. In this position I managed (14) sales reps that crossed over into many channels of distribution. These channels included Key Accounts, such as West Marine, Nordstrom, Amazon, Zappos and Vail Resorts Retail, Specialty Accounts in surf, ski, golf and outdoor and all Optical Accounts. My responsibilities as sales manager included, developing monthly, quarterly and yearly sales goals, training of sales reps, presenting lines at trade shows, growing sales within existing accounts as well as prospecting new accounts and having constant contact with sales reps and accounts
Having retail experience is also crucial to understanding the big picture of sales. I gained a great deal of experience as General Manager of Foam E-Z, the Home Depot of surfboard building. My responsibilities in this position include, but not limited to, the recruitment of new sales and retail staff, scheduling and directing staff in daily work assignments to maximize productivity, ensure a consistent high standard of customer service, maintain accurate records of all pricing, sales and activity reports and create programs and contest to increase sales on-line and in store.

I also spent 10 years as National Sales Manager for Sol Sunguard. In this role, I was responsible for creating sales plans, empowering sales team, setting and exceeding sales goals. Also during my tenure, I played a crucial role in the launch and branding of Sol Sunguard which led to our success in the specialty sport market.

My first Position out of college was working with Gordon Clark at Clark Foam. I was an integral team player in the production and sales of all Clark Foam surfboard blanks. The education I received, while working at Clark Foam, regarding the surf industry, manufacturing and business was top notch.
